Situated between Musee du Louvre and Rue Saint Honore, this completely renovated 3 bedroom, 135 sq. meters (approximately 1350 sq. ft) apartment, located in a 1910's Parisian building with a 5th floor, consists of three bedrooms, a living room, dining room, a separate and fully equipped kitchen, two full baths and two balconies overlooking Le Louvre and La Seine river. The Louvre is around the corner; place des Victoires, the Seine, Blvd. St. Germain, place de la Concorde, Tuilerie Gardens, and place Vendome are all within easy walking distance. There are many wonderful restaurants, cafes, wine bars, food shops, bakeries, and patisseries close by. You may visit the Paris region without any car : The Halles Rer/Metro station is at 3 minutes of walking distance will lead you to the Chateau de Versailles, or to the Normandy coast (Deauville), the Regional RER Train will lead you to the St Germain-en-Laye Castle or to Disneyland Paris Val d'Europe (Theme Parcs, La Vallée Village Outlet Shopping, ...) - Secured public parking possible in the area 150 m. Not as good as we expected....

Overall this apartment is a great place for 5 adults to share with plenty of space BUT given the premium rate we paid we were disappointed in a few things.

The third bedroom did not have a doona on the bed and there were no curtains on the window!! Totally unsatisfactory for our fellow female travel companion and YES people could see in as we had conversations with people in other buildings from this window! The doona situation was not rectified but a handy man came day 2 of our stay and "nailed the curtain to the window!

The kitchen did not have a bread knife - unbelievable for Paris but we bought and left one behind for the next visitors.

And no WIFI!! We all had laptops to communicate with home and were told the apartment had wireless internet BUT after many complaint calls for several days it never eventuated.

Also construction work was being done on the outside of this building so we awoke to the sound of hammers etc early in the morning.

While a good location for access to the metro and the Seine, I probably would not stay here again.
Owner's Response: I try to answer to my first bad comments for this wonderfull appartement.
the curtain was break the week before the arrival and my concierge try to find a provisional solution. yes , the building is 15 meters front of the window... and we change the curtain urgently ... it was special situation and I think we try to put a provisional curtain before repair definitively.. in August in Paris, impossible to find someone ... for this problem we gave a refound on the rental fee when we re send the deposit . the situation back to normal just after.

the wifi working well for 2 years before this stay and well after ?? and we never have problem with Wifi before . I ask to the others renters after this events, and everything going well... it s problably due to a bad connexion from the computer or compatibility. I don t know. it s difficult to understand.

for the outside noise, Cuncil do reworking road in Paris all time during the year, and in Rue du Louvre actually.... upgrade the road I think ?? it s a provisional situation.
I hope have a second chance with this person. I will be happy.

Best Stay in Paris with family

This apartment in Paris is incredible! I have been to many in Paris and this one takes the cake. It is so spacious and roomy. It has plenty of room for 6 people. We had 2 children with us and it was perfect. There is a park around the corner and a plenty of food choices right out the door. It is so centrally located. The metro is steps away. I would stay in this apartment again in a heartbeat.

perfect location/beautiful apartment

Our family so enjoyed this beautiful apartment in March 2009. It is spacious, very clean, beautiful hardwood floors and good bathrooms. I would stay there again for sure! It is a stones throw from the Louvre and there is a wonderful bakery just around the corner. The best thing about this apartment is the fabulous location! It was much better than staying in a hotel.

Wonderful property!

This apartment exceeded our expectations! It is very large, especially by European standards, and fit our family of 5 adults perfectly. The location is absolutely ideal for exploring Paris – the Metro stop is less than a block away, the Louvre can be seen from the apartment’s balconies, and there is easy access to shopping, restaurants, and cultural sites. This is particularly helpful on the nights when the Louvre is open late and less crowded than normal! The apartment itself is well equipped with amenities such as a full kitchen, two full baths (one with a shower, one with both a shower and a tub), a large dining table, and three bedrooms with queen beds. Everything was in outstanding condition. The only drawback to the apartment during our visit was the lack of working elevator – it is a fair climb up the stairs, but nothing that was not manageable. My sister was even 4 months pregnant during our stay and did just fine. I would eagerly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a wonderful experience in Paris!

My family and I recently rented this apartment for five days after Christmas. The location was great, near a metro stop and so close to the Louvre we could see it from our balcony. There was plenty of space for all six adults to spread out. A large dining room table and a comfortable living room made it great for having a night in. I would recommend this apartment and I would stay in it during future trips to Paris.
