Experience beachside living on foot, on bicycle, by trolly or by car. Our condo is conveniently located in downtown Cocoa Beach just three blocks from the beach. Right next door is the Post Office and the public library. Behind the library is a small shopping center with a Dollar store, an Ace Hardware, Rumrunner’s Tavern and Restaurant and a good pizza restaurant. There are approximately 30 restaurants within walking distance and there are lots of clubs and nightclubs. Comedy night at Gregory’s on Thursday is usually very good and downstairs the steak is the best. Also there is an Elk’s Lodge and a Masons Lodge within a few blocks.
Don’t miss the shark feeding by a diver every Sat. @ 11:00 at the Cocoa Beach Surf Company Clothing Store and Surf Equipment Rental. Right next door is the world famous Ron Jon's surf shop, open 24/7. Ron Jon’s has everything you need for the beach either to buy or rent plus tons of other stuff. They also offer surfing lessons and will teach you how to use a skimboard. Visit their web site at http://www.ronjons.com/ Just a short drive or trolly ride up the road is the Cocoa Beach Pier. Lots of stuff to do there for kids and adults. On the west end of Minute Men Causway in downtown is the Cocoa Beach recreation area which includes a 27 hole golf course, tennis courts and swimming pool.
Lots of other things jet skiing, kayaking, surf fishing or go to Port Canaveral for deepsea fishing, catch a cruise or just sit at the Tiki and watch the cruise ships as they leave. http://www.grillsseafood.com/ Also, the port is the best place to watch a launch from Kennedy Space Center or Cancveral Air Force Base, though, if you want to avoid the traffic after a launch, you can just walk down to the beach and watchfrom there.
