SCHUSS MOUNTAIN COZY SKI CONDO BASE OF THE HILL!

We had a great time at Shanty Creek! The condo owner was great to deal with. We loved sitting on the deck watching the golfers and listening to the water from the pond. The condo was clean with plenty of 'extras'. We always enjoy the golfing at Shanty Creek..kids under 17 golf free!! We tried the new Pelicans Nest restaurant at The Chief and pizza from Papa K's in Bellaire is good too! We would love to go again!

Would definitely stay here again if we go back to Schuss. The proximity to the slopes was almost ski-in/ski-out (had to walk across a road from the storage lockers before putting them on). The place was clean, and everything we needed was there. The owner was available and responsive to questions (provided key box code didn't work, inquired if parking pass required). Swam in the pool everyday. Inquired at the front desk to find out a pool card was required, which was then located in our room. Didn't realize at first the heat needed to be turned on in 4 different places (each bedroom, the living/kitchen area, and the bathroom). The only concern I had was that the crowds there partied a little more than I do now with 2 tweens; the walls were thin, so could hear both outside and neighbors shutting doors below. Even with that, they both had fun, and would enjoy coming back (probably when they can without me?!)

This second story condo on the 1st tee of the Schuss Mountain Golf Course at Shanty Creek is charming and well-kept. We loved the secluded feeling of its corner location and the "babbling" pond of the first hole in clear view of the deck, which was accessable from the small bedroom and the living room.. We especially enjoyed having provided coffee at the outdoor table in the early morning, We wish we'd had time to cook on the grill.

Sleeping six was cozy; with one very small room containing comfortable bunk beds, a small closet, and sink. The living room/kitchen had space for watching TV, playing cards and sharing a meal. We used the matresses from the two single hide-a-beds there to be more comfortable on the floor as a double bed.

The master bedroom was the most comfortable, with the one full bathroom in a center location to be shared by all. Everything you'd hope for was provided, with plenty of pillows, blankets and towels and sufficient closet space for all.
We enjoyed lunch at The Chief; and exploring nearby towns.Visiting shops on mainstreet, dining near a butterfly garden and sitting on a quaint dock on beautiful Touch Lake was well worth the short drive to Alden.

The weekend was so relaxing, we hated to leave, We hope we will have the opportunity to return in the future, and will recommend the condo to others every chance we have.
