This place is designed for people who want to hear the birds sing and feel the soft trade winds breathe on their sun-kissed skin. For those who want to smell the sweetness of the flowers and delight in the exotic colors of the Orchids. You will leave feeling better than when you arrived. From serene sunsets to exciting live volcanic eruptions, the Big Island has it all and the Great Kona Escape is ideally located for all of your fun Kona adventures. Just 900 feet up from a quiet sandy cove beach where sea turtles are often seen sunning themselves on the shore and 15 minutes to the most pristine golf course you can imagine, where the wild Peacocks and Nene birds are free to roam. You couldn't ask for a better location or a more tranquil environment to go along with a brand new, comfortable, tropical spacious, yet cozy, ohana. This truly is a piece of paradise.

Beaches: There are many beaches close by. Some for snorkel, some for surfing and some for just lying in the warm sunshine.

Golf: Within a short drive you can reach 12 world class golf courses - each one unique and each one beautiful, accessible and never crowded.

The Perfect Escape!

We traveled to Kona for a week of diving, and had an absolutely terrific experience staying at The Great Kona Escape. Sandra was a wonderful hostess / masseuse, and the rooms were perfect for what we needed. Small functional kitchen with a fridge, plenty of space, and heaps of fresh beach towels. We're coming back to Kona in a few months, and I don't think we'll be staying anywhere else!

The Great Kona Escape IS great

The owner was friendly, helpful and very easy to work with. The property is adorable. The kitchen has limited coking facilities, but I didn't go to Kona to cook. We enjoyed staying here and would recommend it to others. Our only problem is that we are used to a larger bed than a double.
