Once a resting place for pilgrims on route to Compostella, Le Mouret nestles in beautiful unspoilt countryside. Restored with skill and flair and tastefully furnished to a high standard. Tranquil and secluded yet not isolated. A perfect retreat but with easy access to local places of interest. 5 minutes drive from charming market town of Condom with excellent range of restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Tennis, boating, riding and cycling nearby. Lovely walks. Local markets, fetes and events. Armagnac and wine tasting. Attractive farm buildings, acres of grass and shady trees, dining terrace, BBQ, swimming pool (11m x 5m), table tennis, boules, etc. Ample garden furniture. Stunning wild flowers in early summer, vineyard. Linen, towels and welcome pack provided. Use of telephone for local and incoming calls. Friday changeover. Non Smokers please - No pets - Not suitable for children under 10.

Camus described the Gers as “The Tuscany of France”. It is a land of undulating hills and a patchwork of sweet corn, vineyards and sunflowers enjoying early springs, hot summers and mild winters. It also has the best air quality in Europe. And it would not be France if it were not famed for its gastronomy – particularly foie gras, duck and Armagnac.The nearest town to Le Mouret is the market town of Condom, (8,000 inhabitants) with its excellent selection of shops, restaurants and supermarkets. There is tennis, boating, riding & cycling nearby, lovely walks. local markets, fetes & events. Local places of interest abound – fascinating bastide villages (over 100), abbeys and chateaux. The Pyrenees are within easy reach and the Atlantic coast about 2 hours drive.
