NEW HOT TUB ; 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths: Sleeps 2-10

The Hill-n-Hollow, a Catskill Mountain retreat house is warm and cozy home for couples or a large family sleeping up to 10 in comfortable beds. A wood pellet stove provides a warm evening ambiance on cold winter evenings while the days are filled with spectacular views and the wild nature of the Catskill Mountains including deer, turkey, foxes, rabbits, etc.

In early November 2011 we are adding an Outdoor HOT TUB - Check back for photos as they will be added shortly.

RATES AS LOW AS $22. P/P/P/NT on weekly rentals of 10 pax

$33.P/P/P/NIT for NON-HOLIDAY weekends.

COUPLES IN ONE ROOM from $133 p/weekend night (min. 2 nights)

Standard Weekend rate for FULL HOUSE (10 PAX) - 3 nights is $1,000. 2 nights (min. stay is $400 p/night)

Holiday weekend rates are $1,200 and are good for 3 or 4 nights. We do not accept less then the 3 nights for all Holiday weekend

Located on a hill just above the Catskill Creek, and a mile below scenic views of the Windham Ski slopes. We are 15 miles and 20 minutes ride over the next ridge to Windham. Hunter Mt. is a few miles further south of Windham Beautiful cross country skiing is available in the nearby historic hamlet of Rensselaerville, summer home of Andrew Rooney and Richard Price. The area is rural, with few services, but there is a local convenience store and several good restaurants with a few miles drive. Windham is the nearest town with night life and a full range of services.

    There is no cleaning charge but renters are expected to leave the house as they found it, clean and tidy. $250. Damage deposit refunded 2 weeks after rental. Renters must sign a general statement of damage liability or purchase rental insurance from Homeaway.com for $59. RENTERS UNDER 25 YEARS OF AGE MUST PURCHASE THE $59. INSURANCE IN ANY CASE.

    Dogs ok - but must be on leash outside due to proximity of wildlife - (deer, rabbits, etc.) DOGS CAN NOT ENTER THE POOL or HOT tub! DAMAGE COULD BE HUGE!

Ski Resorts: The Hill-n-Hollow Guest House is located on Travis Hill Road in Preston Hollow over-looking the Great Northern Catskill Mountains. The slopes of Ski Windham are visible from 1 mile up the road behind the house. The hamlet of Preston Hollow borders the Catskill Creek. It is 15 miles to the Slopes - about 20 minutes to Windham. Hunter Mountain is a few miles (15 minutes) further. The surrounding hamlets are full of antique shops for browsing, and collecting. This is a house that offers solitude as well as a base for family activities in the mountains and surrounding farming communities.

The calendar on this web-site is kept up to date, so do check it for availability. Cross country skiing is available at the Huck Preserve in nearby Rensselaerville.

Accommodations and Rates: We offer rooms by the night (min. 2 nights), the week and the month. We book by the room or the full house, so a couple might have the hole house to themselves, or might share the kitchen with another couple staying in another room.

The entire house can be booked if you book the full house rate sleeping up to 10. There is an additional 2 foam kid beds so there is the possibility to sleep 12, but this is the maximum the house can comfortably accommodate.

Exceeded Our Expectations

We rented the house for the New Year's Eve weekend. Our original plan was to go skiing during the day but the house seemed so cozy and welcoming that we ended up staying in enjoying the gorgeous veiw in front of a fire. I was really impressed by the hospitality of the owner. He greeted us with two bottles of wine when we first came, and was always available to accomodate our needs. We also enjoyed the fact that the house is located in a very quiet and beautiful area.

I would recommed this property to anyone and for any occasion. You are almost guaranteed to have a wonderful time and meet great people.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Great weekend getaway rental!!

A group of close friends and I recently rented out the Hill-N-Hollow house for a weekend ski trip. It had everything we were looking for in a house and it was just a short drive to Windham Mountain. The property manager was very friendly and showed us around the house to start off our trip. Some great features the house had that we all love was plenty of parking for our groups cars in the driveway, the great room in the house had amazing mountain views and was extremely bright during the day. The Jacuzzi is brand new and stayed at 104 degrees the whole stay; it really came in handy after a long day at the mountain. One thing that always concerns me with winter house rentals is the heating systems, well I can assure you that you will not have a problem here the heat is great and every room has its own thermostat, also the pellet stove in the great room produced a nice amount of heat and mood setting as well. The house has two bedrooms which are located upstairs that are perfect for couples and have a bathroom as well. Special thanks to Dennis, Vincent, and Jim for making our stay a great experience. Although we stayed here in the winter months I would imagine that a summer stay would be even better since there is a huge pool on the property as well.

perfect winter chalet

This house was exactly what we were looking for and more! My friends and I had a wonderful time here, especially with Windham only a short 20 minute drive away. It was cozy, spacious, comfortable, and had an absolutely beautiful location. The view was amazing and not to mention that the price was unbeatable considering the amenities. All in all, the house was all we had hoped for! We will definitely be coming back again!

Holiday 2011 Vacation

Fantastic place and fantastic hospitality.
When we arrived the house was in excellent condition.
The house is also very well insulated and user friendly (easy to use wooden pellets fireplace, heating system). The kitchen was also a well equipped.
The hot tub was the best relaxing place after a long day playing with the kids.
I definitely suggest this location to all kind of renter.
Thank you Dennis and thank you Vincent for the awesome Christmas weekend spend with my family.
