This superb one storey 4 bedroom villa has a ten metre private pool, unsurpassed views of the Bay of Pollensa and a large outside eating area with a barbecue. The extensive terraces and large garden afford both shade and sun. An entrance hall leads into an enormous lounge/dining room with a high vaulted ceiling and oak beams. There is digital satellite TV, DVD player and hi-fi system. The modern Miele kitchen is equipped with dishwasher and microwave and an outside utility room has a washing machine. The master bedroom leads off the dining room. This most attractive double bedded room has a dressing area whilst next door is a further bedroom containing a single and bunk beds. A shower room completes this family accommodation. On the other side of the house a further double bedroom has an en suite bathroom. Across the outside courtyard is a separate guest bedroom sleeping three which has an en-suite bathroom and superb views across the coastal plain.

Ca'n Colina is located on a hill at the end of a private road shared by three other villas, off the main Palma to Alcudia road. A car is essential for this villa. It is four kilometres from the old fortress town of Alcudia and a ten minute drive to the beaches of Alcudia and Mal Pas and a fifteen minute drive to Puerto Pollensa. The house and gardens are very peaceful but golf courses, beaches and Majorca's many fascinating villages with their daily markets are within easy reach of the house. Alcudia has a vibrant night life for the young while Puerto Pollensa maintains its family atmosphere with its many restaurants overlooking the sea. The quaint inland town of Pollensa is reached by charming country back roads and boasts many renowned restaurants and art galleries.

  • Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. A 25% deposit is required to secure the booking with the other 75% due six weeks before arrival. Prices include water, gas, electricity and pool maintenance, bed linen and bath towels. A maid service is available twice a week (once on arrival and once during the week). We offer a 5% discount to return clients within two years. Notes: The house is bungalow style so is quite suitable for the elderly or the very young. The swimming pool has a shallow step leading into the shallow end of the pool and is well adapted to swimmers who are beginners. There are peaceful arbors in the front and back gardens for those who want to get away from it all for a quiet read or to just sit and enjoy the view. There is a table tennis table outside on the front porch.

One of the best villa's we've stayed in, clean & well equipped with a superb BBQ area. Due to there being a lot of rain prior to & during our stay, bed linen felt damp, altho' I doubt this would be a problem when the weather is as it should be! Garden very private, well maintained & with wonderful views. Swimming pool clean & well maintained, with a weekly visit from the "pool man". Excellent maid service, with clean towels twice a week & change of bed linen weekly. A problem with hot water was dealt with promptly. Annex was clean & well appointed, altho' we did feel a bit remote from the main house. Garden pond might be a problem for over adventerous toddlers, but we had no problem with a 2 1/2 year old. A car is essential. Drive/parking area a bit tight, particularly with more than one car, altho' there is a parking bay just outside the gates. Restaurants & beaches only 15 minutes or so by car, there are non within walking distance. Would we stay there again? Most certainly.

We always appreciate comments and suggestions from our guests.
We try and upgrade the villa every year. This past winter we have refurbished the swimming pool, replanted a large bed in the garden and put in more trees to protect the privacy of visitors. We have also installed an enormous swing set for children in the garden.
In the coming year we are planning to install a gazebo at the top of the field to take full advantage of the magnificent view, to install a 'horse' tyre swing for children on one of the the fig trees, to provide a table tennis table for the use of guests. We will also continue to make improvements in the garden
The point made about the pond is an important one and we are conscious of the dangers to small children. We will install an alarm system for the swimming pool, which is unfenced. As for the fishpond, we don't intend to fence it in, but we will put up warning signs to ensure toddlers are always supervised in the garden.
We hope to Welcome Kentish lad back again.

Views to die for

My family and I stayed at this villa for a week in June 2009. We had a fantastic time and the villa photos really don't do it justice. It's grounds are large and extremely spacious with a fantastic outside BBQ space, massive pool and phenomenal views of the mountains and bay of Pollensa. The open plan living/dining area was also much larger than anticipated from the photos that we'd seen.
The villa is well stocked with huge selection of DVDs and books to choose from as well as a table tennis table for when we were feeling a little more energetic! Despite initial reservations, the pond in the garden proved a massive hit with our 3 year old (supervised of course) watching the fish and frogs.

Location-wise the beaches at Alcudia are within a short drive, where there was ample parking to be found right on the beach and a seemingly endless selection of restaurants to choose from. Numerous supermarkets were within easy reach, for stocking up on all the holiday essentials and goodies.

We had one issue during our stay relating to the water supply (as the villa is on a hill, water needs to be pumped up to storage containers within the villa grounds) - the main supply pump malfunctioned. After a dreadful initial 'oh no' feeling, thinking we'd be without water for the remainder of the day or even week, we were visited by the villa maintenance team who had the problem resolved within hours, graciously giving up their evening to save our day! I can't praise this service enough - when things don't go to plan you really get to see the level of care provided to guests and I thought this was faultless.

Overall we had a fantastic holiday in Majorca and this villa really played it's part.

Wir waren Mitte April für eine Woche mit Kind und Kegel Gäste dieses wunderschönen Anwesens.
Haus und Garten sind geprägt von Sauberkeit und vielen liebevollen Details, die es einem sehr leicht machen sich hier wohl zu fühlen. Der Poolalarm mit seiner Übertragung auch ins Haus ist ein Sicherheitsaspekt, der gerade wenn man mit Kindern reist, ein sehr gutes Gefühl gibt. Das Grillhaus am Pool war unser Lieblingsplatz am Abend.
Ein Poolboy, ein Gärtner und einmal die Woche frische Bettwäsche und Handtücher haben das Leistungspaket der Villa mehr als abgerundet.Der Blick in die Bucht von Pollensa war einfach immer wider schön. Wir kommen nächstes Jahr bestimmt wieder und freuen uns schon drauf.
