Eastham home

We recently rented this wonderful home for one week in July for a 3 generation family vacation. We were 6 adults and 2 young children, a one-year old and two-year old. The house is wonderfully bright, lots of sunshine, light and very welcoming, more than we could have asked for, and perfect for a large group. The photos are very accurate. The upstairs bedroom is lovely, with ensuite bathroom. The two other larger bedrooms are not shown but they are equally nice, one with adjoining bathroom. It was very nice indeed to have a third separate bathroom as well. The layout of the main floor with kitchen, eating area, along with the two wonderfully bright great rooms, with several doors leading on to a large well designed deck was so nice and appreciated by everyone. We were able to walk to 2 bayside beaches, and drive to one other, and also went to at least two on the Atlantic side, all within short drives, or bike runs. The garden is large, private and so nice to come home to at the end of the day. We played soccer with the little ones and had lots of room outside to sit out. Everything is comfortable both inside and outside and very practical. I would highly recommend this house, property was spotless, well-maintained, and it was a pleasure to deal with the owner. We have been vacationing on the Cape for years, and love the beaches, bike trails, and the fact that there is so much to see and do for all tastes and budgets. We are avid cyclists and the bike path and roads around the house were very pleasant and as usual we discovered new areas, beaches, and things to see. We expected the traffic on route 6 to be problematic, and had been a bit concerned about that given that is was in July, but it was fine. We did try a trip to Hyannis one day but didn't see much as route 28 was bumper to bumper - we were told we needed to know the back roads. Chatham was closer and much better idea.
I can't say enough about the Cape as a family vacation destination, and this house was just wonderful.
