This property is located in the historic Bijou Pines Neighborhood. This area of South Lake Tahoe is known as 'The Lost Jewel of South Lake Tahoe.' A majority of the homes are second homes. It is a great neighborhood to take a walk and admire the historic Tahoe Cabins of yesterday. One can also walk to the South Lake Tahoe Recreation area which has a heated swimming pool, ice skating, golf, and various courts and fields. Or you can stay inside the cabin, sit by the gas fire and read a book. The inside has slate and carpeted floors with knotty pine walls. The kitchen comes fully equipped for your use. The backyard is fenced for the children. The driveway is long enough to back a boat into. All windows were upgraded 2008. The lake is just 1/2 mile away along with Regan and El Dorado Beaches and public boat launch. Safeway, laundromats, banks, bowling alley, etc. are also 1/2 mile away. Heavenly Valley 1 3/4 miles, Stateline, Village, and Conference Center 4 miles. vrl002833

Very cute, updated, cozy and comfortable. We loved it!! Perfect for a family, small group or couple looking for a romantic escape. VERY close to Heavenly and all the amenities South Lake Tahoe has to offer. I highly recommend this property!!

Great getaway and fun weekend

I had spent one weekend in this cabin and the whole family loved it and felt in it like home. We'll definitely rent this cabin in the future and would like to recommend to everybody. If you like a small and intimate place with a big backyard and lots of privacy this would be the place. We LOVED it there. The owners are very nice and communicative. Thanks for all the help.

A great weekend!

Upon arrival, we immediately began calling this place, "The Gingerbread House." The owners have stocked it with plenty of spices, hot drinks, and toiletries for the bathroom.
The cabin is very close to town and there is a Safeway just down the street. We had a great time and would certainly rent again.
Additionally, the owners were very easy to work with.

I would like to say that this cabin was BEAUTIFUL!!! I knew the cabin had the ammenities that I would need but boy was there more than I expected (WOW.) The cabin was so clean, well kept, and decorated so nicely. This was the most nicest rental I have ever stayed in. I will recommend this place to everyone I know. Thanks!!
