Great Hollows resort home

My family and I recently stayed at this beautiful home for a long weekend. Unfortunately, it was a cold, rainy weekend in Texas which put a slight damper on our activities. The sun did emerge the last day, however, and the whole resort seemed to come alive! The beach club, pool, and fitness areas are ~5 minutes by car from the home. The heated "grotto"/large hot-tubs were nice as the swimming pools themselves were unheated and chilly. We enjoyed roasting S'mores one night and playing Whiffle Ball, too.
Upon entering the home, it was COLD as the thermostat was out of batteries. The owner promptly helped us get new ones, and soon we had heat! The bedrooms were clean and tidy. A bedside lamp for reading might be a nice addition. There were plenty of towels for pool and shower use. The master bathroom shower was fantastic - just like being at a spa! The whole condo looks new and neat. Make sure you bring food to cook or plan to go to the grocery store - the restaurants in the nearby towns are sparse.
With the exception of some confusion regarding payment and biller, this vacation planning was smooth. The owner always responded promptly to my calls and emails. If you want to get away, read a book, sit by the pool, and enjoy nature - this is the trip for you! There are daily activities planned by the resort, which are great for kids, too. Enjoy.
