This is exactly what youre looking for if you're a gamer. You walk across the parkling lot 1st thing in the morning and strap on your board or your skis and glide down to the lifts @ Mt Ellen. You dont even need to drive! From there you can take the 15minute cross mountain quad lift to Lincoln Peak. Its all access to some of the best trails I've ever been on in the NE. After experiencing last winters great snowfalls at both Sugarbush and the southern VT resorts, it like comparing apples to oranges. Sugarbush blew them away.
The condo complex has nice amenties, games for kids, ping pong, etc., plus hot tub, sauna, and plenty of firewood available. 2 baths is always key for a group, and the bedrooms and closets are big enough to keep your gear and live/sleep comfortably. Flat screen TV in living room.
location right on Mt Ellen (again you can ski down in 1 minute to Mt Ellen lifts right from condo parking lot)
Its about 1 minute drive to Mt Ellen parking lot
Its about 4 minute drive to Lincoln Peak (or use all mountain pass and take super quad lift from Mt Ellen to Lincoln peak.) It's a pretty cool lift ride across the mountain. Don't be suprised if you see wildlife on this ride.
If youre a family and want to get away for a weekend, this is a good place to do it with kids. the slopes arent super busy like down in southern VT. Its plenty comfortable for that, and very close to both mountains.
If youre an enthusiast like me, and dont care about bells and whistles, then it is also great because youre right next to mtns...plus the bells and whistles that come with the place are icing on the cake.
