Description of the New Marlborough vacation house rental
This beautifully updated Historical home, which was the original New Marlboro/Mill River school house and an original part of the Sisson Farmstead, is now available as a rental property! The Main floor has a full bedroom/bath with shower. Upstairs, the master suite has a king size bed and full bath with shower. There are another two bedrooms upstairs - one with two twin beds and another with a full bed that both share a bathroom with a tub/shower combination. There is a also another adorable twin bedroom with a 1/4 bath- sink only! Delightful antiques and lighthearted charm are the hallmarks of this warm and inviting home.The dining room comfortably seats 12 and there is a sunny and inviting wrap around screened-in porch for a 3 season brunch, game room , or just enjoying the delightful sounds of the river babbling near by. This outdoor room could easily be enjoyed on warm winter days. This lovely home is currently only available for Winter season 2008 and one month of the summer.

The house is situated on one acre right next to the river ... let the sounds gently lull you to sleep. In summer you can enjoy the falls from 'the Mill' and also enjoy swimming and tubing down the river. Only 25 minutes to all that the Berkshires has to offer: Tanglewood, Shakespeare and Company, Jacob's Pillow, and a wide variety of summer theatrical and musical events, Only 10 minutes to the center of Great Barrington, which is home to gourmet eateries, shops, galleries, movie cinemas, hiking trails, and area day camps. Butternut for snow tubing, skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing is only 7 mins away! You are also very close to The Old Inn on The Green for some very fine dining. Also near to Norfolk Ct, home of the Yale summer Music program, art galleries, antiquing and more. This home is only available during the winter season of 2008 and one month in the summer. We are actively seeking a family - or two to enjoy this lovely historical home!
