Guestbook comments from the manager
We've been staying in one of the cabins in the Redwoods in Yosemite year round vacation home rentals. Three bedrooms, two baths, A lovely living room area. and they've taken what they probably would have used as the dining room and made it a game room. A beautiful kitchen and eating area. The house is over 2000 square feet. The wrap-around deck is over 1300 square feet with, may I say, a hot tub and I love the way the deck is built with circles cut out so it wraps around these trees that you cannot see the tops of. Not only do you know that you're out in the woods because you really are enveloped by the woods, but you look out the window in the morning and there are the deer on the front of the house nibbling on whatever it is they nibble on. It's just absolutely amazing.

Maybe thirty years ago I felt that I should live in Yosemite National Park. At the time, I didn't know if that was even possible, short of being a ranger. I consulted with a real estate agent and found out about Wawona, which is an inholding - that is, it is completely surrounded by Yosemite National Park.

Since that time, every other aspect of my life has revolved around Wawona in some way. It is like a solid center which remains, while everything else changes.

Apart from buying property and buildling on it there, I have had a pretty normal life, or kind of, anyway. I grew up in Highland Park, IL, a suburb of Chicago. I went to school there and later continued at the University of Chicago. Along the way, I met and married my wife, we have three children who are grown up. Throughout all the changes, we have returned to our Wawona home time and again and will do so until we live there once more. That is our goal, no matter how long it takes.

It would be a pleasure to share our home with you, along with the attraction of Wawona and the rest of the Park. I would love to hear what you find meaningful in that experience and if it is a place that you might want to explore further.

What a fabulous place to stay amongst the tall pine trees with a stream below. The outdoor deck is large with 2 umbrella tables, recliner chairs, regular chairs with little tables and a good- sized hot tub. Sitting in the spotless hot tub after dark, you can look up to see the tree silhouettes and the million stars up above. That along with a glass of wine is what I call vacation. Hiking is available all around near the cabin or a reasonable car ride away.

The house is big with plenty of room in family room and kitchen. It has a bonus game room for foosball which was fun. The decor is so quaint with detail shown in every room, giving it a great Yosemite flavor. All amentities needed on a vacation were there. The beds were comfortable, even the pillows were good. (I a very fussy about my pillow.!) Everything was clean. It is a great place to just relax and enjoy the beauty of Yosemite National park. Would highly recommend this cabin/home.
