The Bear Den is the perfect romantic mountain getaway for couples. Nestled in the woods, you are secluded by 200 ft tall old growth fir and cedar trees. You are sure to enjoy the soothing sounds of nature all around you. It is a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday stress. This warm A-frame cabin is charming and immaculate. The cabin has an open floor plan. The master suite has a queen size iron. The cottage style loft has two twin size beds and is a great reading room. The living room has a wood burning fireplace, comfortable sofas, and TV and DVD. The fully-equipped kitchen is sure to have all your needs and more. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a private door leading to the large deck surrounding the cabin. Although it feels you're away from it all you are close to shopping and many great restaurants.

Lovely Property for Cozy Holiday

In June, my family spent a long weekend at Bear Den. We had a wonderful time. The children had a ball in the hot tub and roasting marshmallows over the fire.

Over all, the property was clean and well-maintained. The fridge was dirty and the key to the Bunk House wasn't available, when we arrived. We tried to contact the owners several times, but they didn't answer their phones. However, Eric, one of the assigned contacts, was a huge help and took really good care of us!

The Bunk House doesn't have any bathroom facilities.

Bear Den is in a lovely location. I would recommend this property to a friend.

Roomy A frame nicely appointed

We enjoyed the comfortable Bear Den during an early Feb stay. While the original planned activity was the nearby skiing (within 20 - 30 minutes), poor snow conditions caused us to seek other activities most of our stay. This included hiking along the nearby Salmon river.

While the lot this property is located on is large, be advised there are nearby neighbors. This will be the case with most of the rentals in this general area. On the plus side, there is a grocery store nearby with most everything you should need. Also enjoyable were the many large trees throughout the property.

The cabin itself was accurately described, with amenities more than your standard rental would provide. A nice widescreen TV and cable is available. Bedrooms are spaced far enough apart such that those on different schedules won't disturb others. The fireplace is huge, allowing you to burn you allotment of firewood quickly - if you so choose. In our case, plenty of downed limbs from recent storms provided additional wood.

The cabin was clean upon arrival, and the owner was easy to work with, responding quickly to email or phone calls. We were able to extend our stay and arrive one day early with a few quick phone calls.

The nice sized and equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare all meals easily, thus we did not visit any of the nearby restaurants. This included an outdoor grill.

Would definitely recommend to others.
