The Lake Champlain House (LCH) is centrally located to Montreal, the Adirondacks/Lake Placid Region, and Burlington, Vermont. The Rouses Point/Vermont Bridge and close proximity to Interstate 87 make all three destinations a quick, easy car drive.
The Champlain House will accommodate the following Sixteen (16) guests comfortably:
- Master BR1- King (sleeps 2)
- Master BR2- King (sleeps 2)
- Guest BR- King (sleeps 2), with 2 Full Bunk Beds (sleeps 4)
- Fourth BR* - 2 Queen (sleeps 4)
- Loft*- Queen Futon (sleeps 2)
(*Please Note - The stairs to Fourth BR/Loft are steeper than norm)
Enoy the Water & Great Outdoors::
On the water….your family will enjoy 100 feet of gradual, private shoreline while catching fish or just relaxing on the private 70+ foot dock. There is a mooring available for your boat (or a rented one) and your family can enjoy sunbathing/playing on the floating water trampoline or any of the boats provided: three (3) sit on top kayaks, two (2) canoes, one paddle boat, and a row boat. (all oars and life jackets provided) The docks & trampoline/swim float are in the water typically from mid June - mid September)
Outdoors….you can relax and enjoy the wonderful views of the lake from the large 20’ x 20’ deck with two picnic tables, an oversized gas grill, and large lawn area for kids games & adult games. (horse shoe pits/croquet set) Plenty of lounging spots available for everyone with 10 Adirondack chairs, a hammock, and the large family fire pit (fire wood provided) for everyone to sit around and enjoy nightly campfires. The infamous 'Boat Shack' with fridge, music, lights and deck/
Indoors::
Indoors….your favorite cook can prepare your family feasts with the gas dual oven, five burner stove in the spacious kitchen. To enjoy the feast your whole family will fit around the 10 foot custom farmhouse table made of local Adirondack Pine. The beautiful Rustic hardwood flooring in the kitchen/family room area (first floor) is made of a regional Canadian Birch. Also in the family area to enjoy: Computer w/High Speed Internet, Library of Books, Stereo System, a 32” LCD High Definition TV, and a wood burning “Ski Lodge” style fireplace. Nine foot ceilings make for a spacious feel and help provide for stunning views of the lake and mountains through the 6 feet tall windows.
There are 3 1/2 baths (towels provided) one with a tub/shower and 2 with showers, 4 bedrooms (linens provided) and a loft (sleeps 16 in beds), and a washer and dryer. A special, rare feature is the Central Air Conditioning so that your family can sleep on those occasional extremely hot, muggy summer nights.
