Home Away From Home - Niagara-on-the-Lake

If you're looking for the perfect, cozy little home away from home - look no further than Bramble Rose Cottage in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
From the old world charm of the cozy living room with fainting couch, to the pillow-like queen sized bed, to the "Bonjour" sign over the kitchen cabinets - this is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of regular everyday life.
The cottage is very clean/well maintained and fully stocked with everything you need in the kitchen (you have to bring your own groceries, of course). There is a fireplace in the bedroom and an extra pull-out couch just off the sitting room for extra sleeping space.
The bathroom is stocked like a hotel - fresh white towels & little bottles of shampoo/conditioner. There is also a washer & dryer behind a curtain in the bathroom in case you're staying awhile and need to wash your clothes.
There is also a little patio area in the backyard with a barbecue. We didn't use this area as we were up there in the winter.
The cottage is located on Simcoe Street - about a five minute walk from the main drag - Queen Street where all the shops, restaurants, theatres are. For those Coffee Addicts, there is also a Tim Horton's around the corner from the cottage.
The owners are very nice and live right next door if you have any issues. Irene was kind enough to shovel the walkway/porch/driveway for us as well after we were hit with a snow storm during our stay.
We were up there in the winter and it was so nice coming back to a crackling fireplace and warm, cozy atmosphere after being out in the cold during the day.
The listing description is totally accurate except for the internet access. We picked up quite a few Wifi signals in the area but all were password protected. There was no literature in the cottage telling us how to access the internet so make sure you ask Irene & Gideon upon arrival.
Aside from that, the cottage is beautiful! We've already recommended it to family/friends and plan to make our Christmas visit a yearly tradition if possible.
Thanks for a great stay, Irene & Gideon!
