Beautiful Peaceful Place

A cozy, clean cabin with gracious and friendly hosts, a beautiful view of Lake Chatuge from the front porch, in a safe area with neighbors who wave when they walk or drive by. Excellent place to find peace and quiet, with close proximity to restaurants, scenic drives, boating and hiking. Soft comfortable sheets, a beautiful view and pet friendly - about as good as it gets!

Activities were close and varied..we got our bearings at the tourist information center about a mile away, enjoyed Live Jazz at the RIdges Resort & Club, had dinner at Enrico's and the Brasstown Lodge Dining Room. We visited an arts/crafts/dance/poetry festival in the square downtown, explored to the German-themed town of Helen, drove the Highway 64 loop to Highlands NC, and walked the length of the Lake Chatuge Dam.

Groceries, pharmacy, library, video store, coffee shops and antique stores are close, as well as horseback riding & golf at Brasstown Valley Lodge and several marinas for boating on Lake Chatuge. About 40 miles away is Blue Ridge, where there is a scenic railroad, quaint shopping and Mercer Orchards.

I'd definitely recommend this beautiful cabin, and look forward to coming back.

You can touch Heaven

The best part of Apple Orchard is the panoramic view of the mountains and the lake. The cabin is welcoming and feels like home. Everything is there that you need.The kitchen is well equipped if you choose to cook. The area has many shops that are specialty shops with friendly merchants. There are some very good restaurants in the area.My husband enjoys biking there.
We have been to Apple Orchard in the fall and winter. Our favorite past time was to rock on the front porch and relax. Rick and Betty are wonderful owners who are attentive to your needs.

Not just for romantic getaways!

My sister and I stayed at this cabin for a girls getaway weekend. We loved the decor and felt so at home we have decided to buy our own cabin and plan to model it after this one. Our favorite part of the weekend was sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs with wine and cheese looking at the lake and watching the boats go by. There is nothing better than peace and tranquility and this cabin is perfect for it. There was plenty to do around town too. We went up to brasstown bald and went antiquing. We plan to come back again soon, because it will be while before we build.

Truly wonderful vacation experience

Handling vacation rentals for a living and having stayed in many before I would put this as my best experience with a vacation home rental. This cabin is exceptionally well looked after and the owners have obviously put a lot of thought into making their guests feel as comfortable as possible. I could not have picked a better location when planning my vacation. The views from the cabin are spectacular and there are many trails and state parks within a short drive and plenty to see and do. I hope to return to this peaceful haven again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family so they can also enjoy the heauty of the North Georgia Mountains and the hospitality of Apple Orchard Cabin and the owners Rick and Betty.

Cabin with view from the deck...

of Lake Chatuge and surrounding mountains. This is a great getaway place, with lots of activities (hiking, boating, fishing, antique shopping) within easy driving distance. Or just a place to sit and relax on the front porch, which is the deck with the view.
It was impeccably clean, well decorated, and comfortable in every way.
It has a beautiful stone fireplace ( gas logs ). Full kitchen, with gas stove.

It has one loft bedroom, with a 1/2 bath, upstairs.
The additional sleeping space is a pull-out sleeper sofa.
So works well for a couple, or couple with children who can use the sleep sofa.
Also pet friendly, with prior permission from the property owners, which was a big draw for us.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Romantic Getaway
