The home felt like home

I have been meaning to write you about your property in Captiva Island. It has been since June that I have not sent you this letter. We had the most remarkable time on the island and your home. The home felt like home. We had our 3 daughters, 2 son-in-laws, and 4 grandchildren for a week in paradise. You were extremely helpful in telling us about the area. Your home had more amenities than I had expected. From the beach towels to the gas grill nothing was missing. The short walk to the beach turned into an adventure every day with the grandchildren. When they got tired at the beach from playing in the sand or snorkeling it was lunch time.l After lunch it was either nap time or pool time. I thought that the little ones would be all wrinkled up from all the water time. Everybody had their own space to live in. Not once did I hear I'm bored there is nothing to do. The little ones loved the pool and the float things that were there. We had rented a 15 passenger van and brought most of our food from the mainland. The van sat in the driveway most of the week. No need to drive when the restaurants and little store are only 1-2 blocks away. We had a GREAT meal everyday. Our son-in-law asked when we could come back to the island and this house again. He actually relaxed. You can use me for a reference any time. I look forward to coming back to the island life soon.

Relaxing on the Beach

If you need to find a getaway from the whirlwind of your daily life then this is the place! Comfortable, relaxing, clean! The pictures shown are exactly the way the home looks. We have gone back now three times. Every time is better. Our best friends drive over from Texas and we discover something new to do every day. Love the beach, restaurants are awesome. If cooking is your thing, all is provided. Drinks on the beach? Oh yea!

Paradise in Captiva

I would highly recomend this house to any one thinking of going to Captiva. It is truly a home away from home equiped with everthing you need. 4 couples could be very comfortable even with some kids. Location on the island is pefect. The beach is just down the street.With the cart and the beach chairs the owner provides, Just load up and go. My wife and i walked to dinner in town almost every night. Maybe 1 block. We had a good meal at every restaurant. I talked to the owner several times about things to do. Very helpful and easy to get a hold of. We went in October and had excellent weather. High 80's every day. Needless to say the pool was perfect.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

great for a few families

We stayed here with another family, meaning 4 kids under the age of 2. We loved the location -- close to the beach and even closer to town. The house was set up perfectly for our situation because there are two large bedrooms upstairs and two on the main level, so each family could have some space from the other. Used the kitchen extensively and have no complaints. Some thoughtful things were provided, like a high chair, a wagon for the beach with toys and chairs ready to go, and kids' plastic dish-ware. I would certainly recommend the property to young families.
