Looking for vacation rentals in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas? Call now to reserve one of historic Eureka Springs most memorable vacation homes... Rock Haus Lodge.
Rock Haus, delightfully reminiscent of a European chalet, is built from authentic Ozark native limestone. Experience timeless southern comfort, Ozarks style, in a true home. We know, it's where we raised our family!
We have thoroughly restored our rock house - artfully preserving the original character while adding modern conveniences for enjoyable country living in the 21st century.
Approximately 15 to 20 minutes away are Beaver Lake and the White Rivers to the west, Table Rock Lake at Holiday Island to the north, and the Kings River to the east. Rock Haus is conveniently located on 25 private acres a quarter mile outside of the Eureka Springs city limits.
For a little eco-tourism closer to home, a quarter mile laid-back walk (or drive) along our seasonal rocky-bottom clear water creek will lead you to Black Bass Lake Park, Eureka's newest addition to their parks system. It features a 13 acre spring-fed lake (great for cork fishing!) and a newly constructed hiking trail.
If shopping, dining, and entertainment are important to you as well, you're in luck. Rock Haus Lodge is only 2 miles, 4 minutes to the heart of historic downtown Eureka Springs.
Rock Haus is the perfect setting for exceptional experiences and extraordinary memories.
Rock Haus was the Kline family home until the fall of '06 when they moved out to prep Rock Haus for rentals beginning in 2007. My daughter, Sigrid lives in Maui and son Forrest lives in Bentonville. Suzanne recently retired from The Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce.
Suzanne Kline purchased this house in 1995
The Klines bought Rock Haus as their personal home after searching for nearly three years for something just right. Being so close to town, it was perfect for raising the children near their schools and friends. But . . . the privacy and acreage provided a quiet setting, as if out in the country. The features of Rock Haus were unique, authentic, well-preserved, and unlike any other home in their thorough 3-year quest. Suzanne's picturesque, homestead vision had materialized.
Situated on 25 acres on a private road, Rock Haus is only 2 miles from the heart of historic downtown Eureka Springs. It is only 1/4 mile easy walk or drive to Black Bass Lake, a city owned park/lake with a newly formed mile long hiking trail around the lake. Rock Haus has one-of-a-kind, original 1800s architectural features that have been extremely well maintained. With the local owners keeping oversite of Rock Haus, cleanliness and guest satisfaction are at the top of the list.
Wow! What an awesome family time we shared here! Thanks for the privacy; it was so nice to be out here alone with the kids! We had Gracie's 1st birthday party here. It was awesome! The ability to fit all of us together at one table for meals was especially nice! It was a great Parrish family bonding experience! We're calling you next month to book a week in the summer. Thanks and Blessings
I've had mostly good experiences with VRBO, and one horrible experience. This is by far the best property we have rented. The pictures do not do it justice. It is beautifully decorated. It is spotlessly clean. Close to Historic Downtown but not TOO close. Quiet and secluded with fun easy walks in every direction. If we are ever able to get back up there we will not settle for anything less. Suzanne gave us the best recommendations for restaurants and we tried each but one. The Local Flavor Café was by far my favorite and my husband liked the Gaskins steakhouse the best. The coziness and attention to detail in this property made us dream of striking it rich and offering any price to make it our own. Thanks for everything, it was a trip to remember!
We treated my son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren to a week in the northwest Ozarks of Arkansas. By chance, we chose Rock Haus for our accommodation. In hindsight, we all agreed that this decision was the best of our trip. After following the unpaved entrance road to the house, we were immediately captivated by its beautiful wooded setting. With a grill patio in the back and a deck wrapped around the front, the house was immediately inviting. Once inside, we discovered tastefully decorated rooms on two floors – three comfortable bedrooms upstairs and one down. The most enjoyable aspect was the careful attention to the detail of the décor. Wandering through the house was a true adventure; we discovered some new enjoyable aspect every day. The kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms were spotlessly clean and the entire experience was comfortable and restful. Suzanne was the most accommodating, helpful and hospitable hostess we have encountered during our travels. We have lived in Europe for over 20 years and traveled throughout the continent with our four sons, renting vacation houses from Norway and Scotland in the north to Italy and Provence in the south. Seldom have we so enjoyed our vacation home as much as we did Rock Haus. We will long cherish memories of chasing fireflies in the yard with our grandchildren at dusk. Most highly recommended.
This was my fourth stay at the Rock Haus - this time was a girls trip. The property is always in perfect condition and the owner has continued to make additions and improvements. It is a very relaxing setting and each of the guests consistently fall in love with the Rock Haus. Highly recommend if you are ready for some down time with good friends and/or family..
This was my fourth stay at the Rock Haus - and everytime is delightful. The house is always in perfect condition, and Suzanne continues to make additions and improvements. Every group that has visited with me has loved the house ... Very relaxing setting. Highly recommend ...
Last March my only sibling passed away. She was my joy. I decided to find a place to spend Christmas with her children who lived in different parts of the US. This home was perfect! It was such a place of fun, peace, privacy and comfort. The setting is beautiful and all the comfort ( quilts, spacious rooms,) were so enjoyed. We loved the woods, seeing the deer come up and the convenience of getting to Eureka Springs so quickly. We had a wonderful Christmas and time together. The owner made everything exactly as stated in all communication. Would go again!!
A group of eight of us stayed here for the weekend and we all loved the place. The setting is beautiful, the house is in great shape and the whole experience was better than we could have expected. Working with Suzanne to arrange the stay, prior to the stay, and during the stay was easy. Big thank you to Suzanne for being so accommodating to our group! We will definitely recommend Rock Haus to anyone visiting Eureka!
