Pure Magic! You'll wake to the sound of church bells ringing from St. Mary's, ships horns as they depart from City Dock and horses hooves as they pull carriages through the charming historic streets of Annapolis.
This luxuriously decorated historic home was built in 1832 and has been fully renovated to bring out its original charm. Situated only one block from Main Street in downtown Annapolis, it is conveniently located to give you instant access to sightseeing, shopping, restaurants and bars, boat cruises, and Naval Academy activities. City Dock, at the bottom of the block, boasts commanding views of the Chesapeake, sail and motor boats of all sizes, and people watching galore! Its close proximity to St. Mary's, St. Anne's, First Presbyterian and the Naval Academy Chapel makes it ideal for wedding parties and guests.
The Maryland State Capital, Governors Mansion, Naval Academy and Navy-Marine Corp Stadium are all easily within walking distance...most within just five minutes. Baltimore (30 minutes) and Washington D.C. (45 minutes) also have a tremendous amount to offer during your time here - it's the perfect central location. METRO access (New Carrollton Station) is 20 minutes away and connects to AMTRAK as well.
Original heart-of-pine wood floors are located throughout the home, graced by many beautiful rugs. The fully renovated gourmet kitchen makes cooking and entertaining an absolute pleasure if you are so inclined, and don't forget to enjoy a glass of wine and perhaps a cigar as you sit by the fire-pit on the back patio. The local Farmers Market (at the bottom of the block) on Sundays will provide you with fresh, organic veggies, meats and breads from May through late-Nov. As winter approaches, cozy up in front of the wood-burning fireplace with a book from the fully stocked shelves located throughout the house. Enjoy Fall Festivals, Ghost Tours, Naval Academy football and of course, the world-famous Annapolis Boat Show. Entertaining is an absolute pleasure in this home - the multi-room high-quality sound system gives the house a warm, comfortable atmosphere year-round.
If your vacation includes work, settle down at the desk in the office/library. It has high-speed wireless internet for your personal computer. The office has an operational gas fireplace for added ambiance.
The home sleeps six comfortably in two queen beds and one full bed. The couch in the living room is also a very comfortable single bed alternative, and a queen-sized air mattress is available upon request.
Free passes are provided for on-street parking for up to two vehicles, as well as local maps, and nearby restaurant menus. If you have any special requirements or requests, I'll do my best to facilitate!

We reserved the house for a girls weekend getaway. We had 9 girls one night and 7 another night. We put 2 in each bedroom, 2 on an air mattress in the office, and 1 on the couch. It was very comfortable. A little tight for bathroom purposes, but we made it work.
When we pulled up to the house, we were a little nervous. The house looks like it may have a water intrusion issue, and there is some rot on a couple of the doors in the back of the great room. However, when we got inside, we were relieved. The kitchen is enormous and decently well stocked. It would be hard to have a large dinner party with the available cookware, but we made it work. The bedrooms are very comfortable. In fact, I checked the tag on the sheets because I want to buy them for my home!
We had a lovely fire in the fireplace one evening, and cooked a nice meal in the kitchen another.
There were plenty of towels and various other things people left behind. I did see a couple cobwebs and things like that, but it didnt really bother me.
I really loved the fact that the floors were original and the house was decorated with period appropriate pieces. We were all incredibly excited by the Nancy drew collection in the foyer.
I would definitely recommend this house. The location is AMAZING. You couldn't find a place better situated. Will definitely return if I'm ever in the area.
The owner was very responsive leading up to our stay, and everything was exactly as described in her detailed information sheets.
We had a great time in this house for our annual Family Girls’ Weekend (8 women). It was the perfect location for us to be car-free for so we could walk around town for shopping, sites, and dinners out. The home was very cozy and much more comfortable and personable than a hotel. We got to spend our evenings around the fire, curled up on the couch with wine, catching up with one another.
We had a wonderful stay 160 Green Street in Annapolis. The house and accommodations were great! Very impressed, with the nice furniture and comfort. Had a great visit with my family. It was really nice how close you are to town. I would definitely stay here again.
We spent the weekend at this property to visit my son who is a midshipman at the Naval Academy. The group consisted of my 16 year old son, my mother, my in-laws, and my wife and myself. The property was very clean and well-kept...It was very convenient to historic Annapolis and the Naval Academy. All instruction were very clear. There were many books and magazines in the house which was helpful for the curious souls among us.
The property is on multiple levels, so would caution for elderly with mobility issues, but this didn't seem to create any issues for us. The owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Great wifi. Would definitely stay there again.
Great stay for nurses' reunion and inaugural 10k across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Wonderful home, great location, fabulous kitchen and gathering areas, convenient to this walking historic town. Toured the Academy about 2 blocks away.-truly special. Charming, welcoming home. The courtyard area was gorgeous and meant for enjoyment and entertaining. Loved our stay and would highly recommend it.
Stayed here with our daughter and another couple the week leading up to the daughter's wedding. Hosted a bridal breakfast and an extended family meal. Everyone loved the home! Entertaining is a breeze with everything you need handy: pots, pans, crock pot, fondue server, dishes, glasses, wine glasses, trays, platters, large bowls, flatware, serving utensils, corkscrew, plenty of coffee cups, storage containers, foil/saran wrap/etc. There were even plastic utensils we discovered after we'd already purchased some--check all the cabinets & drawers of this well-stocked home before you go shopping. Highly recommend the local grocery store Graul's Market which has an outstanding deli & bakery & can prepare delicious party &dessert trays.
The dining table can be extended for more space. The living room area is large & cozy and there are plenty of chairs available (check the basement for folding chairs). The back yard was more spacious than expected and features a fire pit which was greatly enjoyed.
The bride & bridesmaids all gathered here to dress & do make-up the morning of the wedding and there was plenty of space & mirrors for this. There is a beautiful full-length mirror at the foot of the stairs, and the 2nd floor shared bathroom features a long, spacious counter top and very large, long mirror above (along with a long, deep tub, perfect for relaxing after the festivities). Even the office has a wardrobe with full-length mirrors on the doors.
Location is fantastic as you can park your car nearby and walk almost anywhere you need to go (except Graul's and some outlying locations).
Our only disappointment was with the small capacity dryer which didn't
dry very well with the small loads we placed into it. At least two cycles were required. Thankfully, there was a large wooden drying rack which saved the day for our clothing.
