One bedroom, one bath, suite style cabin features a massive, cedar log, queen size bed with Ralph Lauren Linens and a Vera Wang mattress set. This 300 square foot cabin has a full bath with stand up shower, mini-kitchen and sitting area with sofa, chair and flat screen TV.
The decor is 1940's mountain cabin style with knotty pine paneling, scored, stained concrete floors, cowhide rug, ceiling beams and luxury linens.
This private hideaway is accessed through a private courtyard off the alley in one of Abilene's beloved, historic neighborhoods. It has it's own parking pad of the alley and is centrally located 5-10 minutes from anywhere in Abilene.
If you are looking for privacy, coziness and seclusion as well as designer accommodations, The Hideout is your place.
Though small in size, The Hideaway is big in features and perfectly appointed. From the Vera Wang mattress to the nicely equipped kitchenette--nothing is missed. Perfectly situated in old Abilene and convenient to the highways, we used this as our home base while attending our son's graduation and couldn't have been more pleased with our decision. WIth our days full of people and celebrating, this was exactly what we needed--a quiet place for just the two of us to get away from it all, recharge and reflect while enjoying a glass of wine in the private courtyard.
While there I toured two other larger Sayles Home Guesthouses and I was beyond impressed with the designer touches, high end treatments and custom art. Meticulous attention to detail was evident in each home and my hat is off to the owner/designer--he has done a wonderful job capturing the essence, spirit and feeling of old Abilene and vintage Texas in a subtle and classic way that you rarely see in the vacation home market.
Finally, I got to tour the still under construction Sayles Landmark, a new addition to the Sayles Ranch Guesthouses, which is set to open in December. All I can say is as soon as you can book a room--do it! It is going to be amazing.
I've stayed at this owner's larger property and was surprised how much I loved this cozy cabin...precious! It was so relaxing and amazingly comfortable. Something about this owner's intuition: he captures exactly what the traveler needs and somehow makes you feel like the facility belongs to you. Great place!
