Relax and enjoy the pretty scenery and lakefront breezes on this charming lake house in the quiet lake community of Harwinton. You can go swimming directly from the backyard into the lake. Or if you prefer to have company, a one minute walk take you to a community shared beach. Cottage sits on a double lot and has 80 feet of shoreline with a spacious yard for barbecuing, sun bathing, swimming, or napping in the hammock. The lake house has been reconstructed recently and is bright and airy in the Spring and Summer, cozy and warm in the Fall and Winter, and always romantic. Sit and relax to the sounds of the water lapping on the lake. Or go for a swim or fish from the trout filled lake. Lovely, knotty pine interior with views of the lake from most rooms. Note that Harwinton Lake is rated number two in the state of Connecticut for cleanliness! Bike and hike around the lake. Lots of fun restaurants, antiquing, golf, river tubing, and gambling at Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods is an hour away.

Minimum reservation is one week. Saturday check-in and check-out.

If you're looking for a get away home, to relax and recharge your energies, walk out your backdoor to the lake and dive right in, or read a book in the hammock and relax. This is a quiet and relaxing place to linger.

Lovely spot on the lake

This was elegant camping in a very nice lakefront house. We spent all of our vacation here outdoors, enjoying the yard and hammock and lake and the boats that the owners had there for our use. We missed only internet connections, but got to read several books instead. A month later, we are still enjoying memories of the gorgeous views of the lake and the sounds of the ducks from the bedroom windows when we awoke each morning. The owners are helpful and friendly and great about giving any information you might need about the area. We loved it here.

This was a delightful getaway vacation. We loved being on direct waterfront. The house is charming and the scenery is so pretty. My favorite was laying on the hammock next to the lake.
