Perfect Location for Relaxation!

We loved the place-it is hard to imagine that the location and amenities could be any better. The house had pretty much everything you would need to just relax-3 beautiful porches (ground level, first floor, and 2nd floor), boogie boards, beach chairs, a very nice and very well furnished kitchen. A most excellent place to just go and crash and relax.
The pictures on the VRBO web site don't do the house justice. There are two excellent upstairs master suites with king sized beds (one with a beautiful study that overlooks the water), there are two bedrooms on the first floor, one with twin beds, and one with a queen/single bunk. Ground floor is 2-car garage and storage.
The house's three porches all face West. On the ground floor, the porch has chaise lounges and is separated from the beach by a berm with sand and foliage. So, you can sit and sun without having everyone on the beach have a look. The second floor porch has two fans and a great view of the Gulf. Amazing sunsets.
I can't overemphasize how nice it is to just roll out the back door and be on the beach.
Indian Rocks Beach is very mellow. I ventured up to Clearwater/Sand Key--giant condos and hotels. Indian Rocks Beach is not party central--perfect for families, low key events, and just taking your mind off work.
This place is great for little and big kids (with two caveats). Why is it great? 1) the waves on the Gulf are really mellow most of the time. Our 20 month had a blast just wading out into them and wading back. 2) the water is quite warm, particularly in the summer. We experienced 90°F water temp during our stay in June. 3) there are lots of shells and the sand is superfine powder. We built sand castles every day. 4) House is literally 40 yards from the waters edge, so no long slogs with the ton of kid-related sand/sun/water toys. 5) It is separate house (rather than condo, or attached house) so no worries or noise from the neighbors. 6) there is a shower and hose on the ground level for washing off the salt and sand. 7) there is a child high chair, car seat, and crib for sleeping in the first floor closet.
Caveats for kids? 1) Accessible fragile items in the living room area (we moved these to the dining area for our stay) and 2) 10' wide semi-steep entry stairs. FYI. No worries for us.
Extras--walk to the Kooky Coconut-excellent, weird ice cream, Cuban sandwiches and beer. Target, Publix, Walgreens, Malls, w/in 2-4 mi in Largo.
