We came to Caleta on holiday (a villa a few doors down), just fell in love with the area and the house - so we bought one! Loved the fact it was so near to everything, but you couldn't hear any noise. A lovely plot by the sea, with great walking/running routes around the prom that stretches around most of Caleta.
Near the sea, with great areas to explore. Not too hustle and bustle and you hardly ever see 'hen or stag' parties, which is a bonus in my book. Great for couples, young families, or a group of friends. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and great shopping.
Thank you for letting use your lovely villa, the villa is in a perfect location in a peaceful area of Caletta but only a couple of minutes from the centre. The villa is beautifully furnished and well worth a visit we had a wonderful holiday
Myself and my friend and our two teenage boys just returned from a week stay at this home. It was the best holiday I have had in this resort having been coming here for 7 years 2 to 3 times a year. This is the first time I have stayed private and I would never use a hotel again. I found the house a home from home with everything you could need and so comfortable and clean. It even has a selection of board games, cards and dvds to keep kids occupied and a huge selection of books to read. The location is fab for eating out, the beach and chipmunk mountain which we all love (take your monkeynuts with you as kids love to feed the chipmunks). The grounds were fab and well maintained. The pool area is safe for young kids who can only enter the pool if an adult opens the gate. You can always get a bed as the house as 4 and you just take around the pool and bring back. We ate in and cooked more than we ate out, having took all the essentials with us, bacon, sausage, tea, coffee, sugar, juice, pasta, cheese, ham, butter with us, saves you a lot of money as you do pay more in the Hyper Diner (local Netto)! We regretted not taking a joint with us !! There is a local Spar in the Atlantic Shopping Precent about 3 euro in a taxi. The market is on a Saturday and Wednesday 9 till 2 by the Broncemar about 10 mins walk. When you leave the airport you get a taxi and they no were the accommodation is, its about 15 euro inc tip. A neighbour makes tradition indian curry and sells them it was delicious so give it a try. We paid 10 euro for a curry rice and bread, it was fab. So we had a curry night! Ideal not having to bring dirty washing back as well so take your powder with. Ppl tend to leave tea coffee suger when they leave and the girls who let us in, put milk and water in the fridge which was welcoming when we just got there. There is someone who comes round and sells 10 litre water for 2 euro odd cheaper than shop so you dont have to carry it, Ask Billy two doors down when they come. He lives on the complex and is such a nice chap that we made him a cooked breakfast ! Aberdeen is a fab and cheap place to eat, you can not miss it. There is lots of places to eat just dont go to the all you can eat buffets yuk! I could go on and on but if you think of it as a home from home you will have a nice time. Ask Billy or maintenance guy to get you a cab back to the airport as it will cost a lot to use yr moby.Thank you so much we will be back by the end of his year.
Just spent 10 days in this great “home from home”
Great location, well equipped, very clean
Would recommend a stay
We found the accomadation as per the reviews, close to shops bars,
please go to EL CAPITAINS good tapas, we would like to thank Jenny,
who welcomed us very helpfull.
Any one thinking of booking SKY BLUE TRANSFERS, DON'T.
We booked private taxi with them, what we got was a coach jouney taken two and half hours instead of fifteen minutes taxi ride.Best to go to taxi rank at airport at the front.(taxi cost 11 euros)
myself, partner and 3 year old came out to join my parents for 7 nights out of their 21 nights in November, apartment very clean and has everything you could need and locals to all amenities.
My only 1 concern was the bars at the top of the stairs (there is a gate) but the bars across the landing was quite concerning with a 3 year old that likes to climb. Please dont let this put you off staying here but i'm sure there could be something placed across/fixed to the bars to stop any possible accidents
STAYED FOR 3 WEEKS IN THIS LOVELY PROPERTY IN DECEMBER 2010, CENTRAL TO ALL SHOPS & BARS,WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN AS WE HAD A LOVELY HOLIDAY.WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY.
Caleta De Fuste is a 10 minute drive from the airport, a taxi will cost approx 15 euros. It is an excellent area for families and couples, with a beautiful, sandy horseshoe shaped beach and picturesque harbour. There are many water sports available and attractions include the unique Oceanarium, where you can interact with seals. There is also a sailing excursion on a 25 meter catamaran where it's possible to site dolphins. There is an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and shops all within minutes of the house! Close by is the new PGA golf course complex with driving range and club hire facility. Caleta is excellently placed for exploring the whole island, with the National Park Sand Dunes at Corralejo, a 40 min drive to the north and the beautiful beaches at Jandin, 45 min drive to the south.
Other Activities: health spa, ten pin bowling, trampolines, bungee trampolines
Golf: 36 hole PGA Golf course 5 minute drive away. 18 hole mini golf course for the family, by the beach.
