This beautiful log cabin is fully furnished and situated on 400 feet of sandy shoreline on the Hardwood Watershed. You will find an amazing view, and many opportunities to enjoy nature and recreation as well. This is the perfect cabin getaway in northern Michigan for all outdoor enthusiasts! VonSeda's is very cozy and spacious, and will be your home away from home. We are located in a very private location, but within a short drive to Norway, Iron Mountain, or Escanaba MI. Here you can do as much or as little as you like. Activities include, but are not limited to: Whitewater rafting, Snowmobiling, Atv-ing, skiing, fishing, hunting, swimming, pontoon boat rides, hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, shopping, movie theater, restaurants, casino, mine tours, plus much more! This private cabin is located in an area that is absolutely beautiful and a well kept secret for sure. Make a trip to VonSeda's and enjoy your up north Michigan vacation any time of the year.

There are two ski hills nearby- Norway Mountain and Pine Mountain, as well as many opportunities for snow shoeing, and sledding. If you are looking for summer activities, you can enjoy swimming, take a paddleboat or pontoon ride, kayak, canoe, play on the sandy beach, or take advantage of the excellent fishing. Take a nature hike, and visit Piers Gorge to see waterfalls! This is such a peaceful and inviting place for family and friends to gather. VonSeda's is located only 2 1/2 hrs from Green Bay, 4 1/2 hrs from Madison, 6 1/2 hrs from Chicago, and 5 hrs from Milwaukee

Hardwood Cabin on Lake

The cabin is very nice and comfortable with an outstanding view of the lake. There was no problem accommodating 10 adults for our family gathering. The sunsets are absolutely breathtaking - a sight you definitely should not miss.

We did catch enough fish to have a fish fry one evening with my wife and brother-in-law each catching a nice size northern pike. Two northern pike were caught right from the dock. The remainder of the fish were pan fish.

One evening, my wife and I were going to the local store and as we crossed the causeway we saw a cow moose crossing the road just south of the lake. What an experience, our first Michigan moose sighting. There is also an abundance of deer and turkeys in the area.

I would recommend this cabin to anyone. The cabin’s hardwood floors and open architecture provide a very spacious and clean environment.

This was a great place to stay. We took our atvs to ride and found plenty of places to ride. The cabin and the grounds were in excellent shape. This is a cabin that I would highly recommend.for a relaxing get away.

Wonderful Lakefront Cabin

After driving from NW IN, we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this lakefront log cabin. The interior was perfect with all the amenities you could want. Being mostly interested in the fall scenery and nature, we spent a lot of time driving around the western UP. We went all the way to the Porkies, but the fall colors were most spectacular near the cabin. The cabin is secluded, but worth the drive. You are near many waterfalls and beautiful small towns. The wild turkeys and deer were numerous. At night, we sat outside watching a bat sweep the balcony and looking at a star-filled sky. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer so we could enjoy the lake and boat.

Beautiful Log Cabin in the U.P. of Michigan

When we arrived at VonSeda's, the first thing we noticed was the amazing view- quite breathtaking. The cabin is set in a spot that allows you to get a wonderful view of the water from just about anywhere. This place is great- a hidden secret for sure. If you have the chance to get away you would certainly feel the same way as we did. We had never even heard of Hardwood before- but now that we know it, we'll never forget it.
The cabin is super clean, and has just about everything you can think of to make your stay comfy. The hummingbirds greeted us each day we were there. We also loved watching the numerous loons and osprey in the water catching fish! Kayaking is unbelievable here. We spent hours out on the water exploring and maneuvering between the islands. The kids loved fishing- even catching many right off of the dock. The water is nice and clear, sandy beach up close which is really nice for the kids. I can't say enough good things about VonSeda's. We will certainly be back- already planning dates for next summer. Thank you for letting us enjoy your little slice of heaven!
