Paradise!

We had a fantastic girls’ week in March at Villa Golondrina. The house and all its details exceeded our expectations – comfortable, spacious, but with plenty of local character. The pool and its beautiful landscaping made us almost never want to leave the house. However, one of the most beautiful pristine beaches we had ever seen was just steps from the front door, and practically deserted even during Spring Break. Town is close enough that you can easily walk for more adventure, but far enough that the house and beach are a peaceful paradise. We chose not to rent a car, and were very happy with that decision. We really enjoyed the ruins and walking/bike paths located nearby. Our day with the cook recommended by Gloria was a highlight – by far the best food we ate on the trip, and more economical as well.
The house had everything we needed for home and for beach – from plastic cups in every shape and size to scores of pots and pans, from beach chairs to hammocks. Gloria’s amazing staff, Abel and Luci, would come to clean every day, offer advice, and make sure we were comfortable. We are already planning our return trip for next year!
