We thoroughly enjoyed our stay ay Seven Palms. Elvia was very helpful in renting the house, the staff was great in solving the few problems were encoutnered. We found we didn't have a blender (can you imagine a week on the beach without a blender?), Henrietta (the housekeeper) actually let us use hers. Typical for the people of Eleuthera, as nice and welcoming as any place we have been. Be advised, it is not for everyone, the roads are terrible, rental cars seem to all have issues, no real night life or "resort atmosphere". We lead a very busy life, so getting away and relaxing on this quiet, peaceful island is something we treasure. The house is very elegant and well cared for, the beach in front is gorgeous, and the location on Banks road is ideal. Tippy's and Tappa's right down the road, close to Gov Harbour. If your rental vehicle will get you there, we highly recommend exploring for beaches, there are plenty of guides to help. Friday night fish fry by the library in Gov Harbour is a great time, try the conch salad (the "Conch Ninja" makes it great, as "hot" as you can stand). This was our sixth or seventh trip, we are already looking forward to the next.
