Highly Recommended Over 55 Property

Stayed at this beautiful property for folks over 55 years old for 10 days in February 2011. The property is as described, even better. It is right on the intercoastal waterway, but in a no wake zone, so all the beautiful boats are passing by quietly and slowly. If one brought their own boat there is direct access to the canals and the big lake. The bird life and aquatic critters are abundant and fun to observe. The property is like new, clean and well maintained. The owner could not have been nicer or more accomodating. The location is a rural, quiet, low traffic, agricultural, small town atmosphere while being only a 90 minute drive to either coast. For history buffs there is a great little museum 20 minutes away in Clewiston. Be sure to take the fun and informative "Sugar Tour" offered by the Clewiston Chamber of Commerce. Clewiston is the larger town with numerous restaurants, shopping and attractions. Moore Haven has the basic everyday needs and a great little library. WiFi wireless internet is available on site at a small charge provided by a private carrier. Just turn on your computer, open your browser and follow the instructions. A Paypal account is required to pay for the WiFi. If you're into walking, jogging or biking the 118 mile long Okeechoobee Hoover dike trail is nearly in your back yard. If you are looking for a place with peace and quiet, no traffic jams, while still providing reasonably quick access to the hectic coasts, this is the place. I would recommend to a like minded friend, and I would return myself.
