Fabulous Zermatt Apartment

We stayed in Haus Alpine for four nights for our daughter's wedding and I cannot imagine a more perfect Zermatt home. Each room had a breathtaking view of the Matterhorn and that pristine Swiss style - perfectly clean and elegant. The owner was not only conscientious about the apartment, but she gave us directions to every place we needed to go and even came by and enjoyed a party with our group one evening. It was wonderful to talk to her and learn about Zermatt from her. She took care of our entire group of 14 people (in several apartments), meeting us at the train station, taking us back to the train station. The trip would have been missing a lot without her.
The location of this apartment was perfect, within an easy walk of every place we needed to be even though some construction was going on so the shortcut was not available. The shortcut would have made it even closer to the village center, but we thought it was perfect this way and we walked everywhere. Don't miss the train to the top of the mountains - it was an unbelievable experience. Other than that, be sure to enjoy your terrace and those views of the Matterhorn - endlessly fascinating in sun, clouds, rain and moonlight.
