Large, bright and airy, this 2-floor duplex is a peaceful retreat in the heart of Boulevard Charcas in Barrio Norte, one of Buenos Aires' best neighborhoods. This high-end apartment is furnished and decorated in a modern style. The layout of the apartment is open and makes the most of the 20 foot high windows overlooking tree-lined Boulevard Charcas.
The top floor of the loft features a queen size bed, TV with cable and DVD player and a full bath. The ground floor has a dining room area, a second bathroom, a living room with a sofa bed, and a modern, open kitchen.
The apartment features weekly maid service and is fully equipped for your needs, with fresh linens and cooking utensils. It also features a high speed broadband internet connection.
The apartment's location couldn't be better -- it's on a quiet street lined with trees and flowers and excellent restaurants and stores. Everything you need is only a few steps away. Great shopping is only two blocks away at Alto Palermo, one of Buenos Aires' best shopping centers.
The loft is located only two blocks away from the subway/metro Line D station "Bulnes". Line D is by far the best subway line for a visitor to Buenos Aires, as it will take you to most of the best sights in town.
This was our second time staying in the loft--we first visited BA in 2009 and fell in love with the city (and this neighborhood). We just finished our second 10 day visit, and had a wonderful time. While Argentina isn't the great deal it was 3 years ago, it's still a pleasant and reasonably priced destination. The loft is particularly well-suited for two people, very clean and up to date. Convenient to the subway, and easy to hail a cab right on the street.
Excellent restaurants in close proximity--Don Julio is a great Parilla to try out. Several well stocked supermarkets nearby as well, within a two block walk.
Overall, a great place to stay! Felt like 'our' home away from home.
I'm just back from spending the month of May in this apartment. It is in an excellent location (it's best to be near the D subway line, if you're in BA) with lots of light, a very strong WiFi signal, and cable TV with English-language movies! The owner and her sister are very nice and extremely helpful-- everything went according to plan. You can walk to Recoleta, Palermo Soho and Palermo Hollywood. My one caveat-- it's at a busy intersection, and the street noise would bother light sleepers. In BA, the garbage trucks come by at 1 am!
This was our first trip to Buenos Aires: we stayed 6 weeks there and had a great time. First of all the city was much more interesting than we were able to imagine even if it was summer time and most of the cultural events start in the fall. The apartment/loft, that we rented was a big success too! It was very well located, with everything within a block or two: grocery store, vegetable and fruit stores, laundry service, good restaurants, subway stop, banks, the mall and parks were not that far away too! The apartment was clean and spacious, the owner was very nice and easy to get in touch with. She even provided us with information about a local family doctor who speaks English. The owner also recommended a good taxi company to take us back to the airport. Thank you for all of your help Mirta!
We stayed in VRBO apartments in San Francisco, San Diego, New York, Miami, and Europe over the last two years. This apartment was the best one yet. We are already thinking about coming back!
The location couldn't be better ... only two blocks to the subway line D, which takes you to all the best sights in town, and only two blocks to Alto Palermo, one of the city's best shopping malls. There are more than a dozen amazing restaurants within two blocks of this apartment, and a movie theater only four blocks away.
