Wed. Dec 10th 2003 'Only three 800 - pounders taken in the state; all resided in the Poconos until their demise on Dec.1 ' This is typical of Dingman's leading the state with Bear Check Stations in nearby Shohola (7 miles) or even Tobyhanna (28 miles) more from the Pocono record...:'All three 800-pounders were killed the morning of Dec.1 in Pike and Monroe counties, with the two largest both being shot in Dingman's Township, Pike County.
