WOW - Fun, Adventure, Relaxing all rolled into one

Having never been to St Thomas before, I did my research and came across Crystal Cove on Sapphire Beach. It looked nice from the description and photos, was priced right and seemed to be located where the brochures say is the place to be. All I can say is, my wife and I were not disappointed. OK - let's get this out of the away. Yes - I would recommend this property and yes- I would definitely stay here again.
The unit was as advertised, clean, up to date and inviting. The air conditioner was on when we arrived and we immediately felt relaxed after the long trip to get there. And with the enclosed patio, we had ample living space. We enjoyed breakfast each morning looking out the windows to the pond and flowers and sometimes an iguana. We enjoyed the convienence of the 2 full bathrooms as a his and hers. All amenities you expect were there plus a few bonuses (like a bag full of snorkel gear and big screen TV). The complex is gated which we liked. Internet service is not free at complex but can be found nearby.
Although an older complex, Crystal Cove is well manicured, clean, has its own portion of Sapphire beach and a great view of St John and the BVI. We had lounge chairs available to us whenever we went to the beach (it was a short 300 ft away). The location on the East End of the island was well away from the city traffic and hustle bustle of town but very close to Red Hook, ferries, great restaurants, activities and other sights and beaches.
The owners/managers were fantastic to work with and made the rental process easy. We needed a gate pass and a phone call to the on-site property manager (on a Saturday afternoon) brought one in less than 10 minutes. Everyone was very nice and friendly. We had great customer service before, during and after our vacation.
We loved the condo. However, the beach during our stay had a constant breeze from the east causing the water to be a little rough for snorkeling. But no problem, just jumped in the rental car and went to Coki to tour Coral World (it was worth it) and fantastic snorkeling. The reef comes almost to the beach and the fish are right there. We went back to Coki our last day. Magen's beach is beautiful and we spent a day there. Warm and calm. Driving is a challenge but rent a car to get around. Take a GPS, we used ours everytime we left the complex and needed it. We had an excellent anniversary dinner at Agave' Terrance. Try Molly Malone's in Red Hook too.
