Solid Suncadia Option
This property is a townhouse near the main lodge. There is still construction in this neighborhood so it doesn’t feel quite as “Suncadia” as the older neighborhoods where we have previously stayed. The layout is efficient with four bedrooms (each with bathrooms) on the second floor and an open area with the kitchen, dining and living rooms. There is a small patio that offers privacy (but it does face the main Suncadia Trail road which means quite a bit of car, bike and foot traffic). The patio has a solid barbecue for grilling. A plus was having a two car garage that allowed for bike storage. Since Suncadia manages the property, there is access to all the amenities. And, they are responsive when you need something (dish detergent, etc). Check-in and out was easy. We stayed over the Labor Day holiday weekend, which means we paid a huge premium over the normal nightly rate. Not sure that premium was worth it based on this particular property but it would be at the normal nightly rate. There were two couples and two kids (6 and 13) and plenty of space. It would be nice if there was a sound system like Sonos to allow for music. And, we never found any instructions on how to operate the TVs (which all had Amazon Firesticks and Apple TV integrated). Just don’t forget to sign out when you leave. One item to note...one of the master bedrooms has a strange satin (or some other very slippery fabric) as the topper. Sleeping on this was extremely tricky. Every time one person moves, the other person slides around. Not the best night’s sleep. The other rooms had normal beds. Good luck!

Suncadia Great - location so-so
Photos of the property did not align with what was actually there - (unit turned out to be on a busy road and there was lots of new construction around the unit.) Check in was a bit messy as the front desk person gave my wife a different location. She got into that unit and completely unloaded and unpacked. Two hours later we hear a knock on the door and it's the owner who had come up to stay! Fortunately he was very nice about it and after contacting Suncadia we were given what evidently was the original unit we were supposed to be in, but had to pack up and move all of our stuff to the new location. To their credit Suncadia offered a 20% discount on our next stay. Sadly the finishes and bed quality were not up to the same standard as the first location. Additionally the new unit was very understocked on cooking utensils and there ones there were pretty low quality. Unfortunately the beds were very uncomfortable and as we had checked out the beds at the first location we felt a bit let down. We have had many excellent experiences with VRBO, this one fell a bit short of expectations, particularly for the price. Owners, or Suncadia need to update to higher standard.

Suncadia Mid-Winter Break
Perfect townhouse for a family of 10 - six adults and four children - and well-stocked. It's practically brand new and located within a short walking distance from the lodge, spa, swimming pool and workout facilities, skating rink/lake, and sledding hill. It was also nice to be able to park in the garage. Thank you!
