We had a wonderful long weekend at this chalet/cabin in the North Carolina area. My husband and two teenage sons and I needed a place to stay while visiting our daughter who was a camp counselor at a nearby Winshape Camp at Young Harris College. It was only about 10 miles from the college which is in Georgia. The scenery was amazing! Probably some of the prettiest I've ever seen! The Cabin was super clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We used the grill two of the nights while there and it was very nice. There was an Ingles supermarket withing about 5 miles for grocery shopping. We were able to go White Water Rafting on Saturday while we were there and it was only about 1 hour and 15 minutes away. The kids loved that experience as well. The kids loved the cabin and we would love to go back again very soon! Cabin owner was great to work with and everything was as we expected it to be. Thanks for letting us borrow your cabin for the Fourth of July Weekend!
We went their with our family and had a good time. The cabin is nice and clean as it could be for a place nobody using daily. There were dust here and there, and main level floors were not clean, but it was not a big deal for us. The water smelled bad, but it's not this particular cabin fault and very common problem for mountain cabins.
Within short time after turning heater on most insects that were laying around the house pretending to be dead started flying (It called diapause), but again, there is nothing wrong with this.
The area this cabin is located is quiet and has really nothing to offer during winter months. There were no snow for us. There were couple stores within short drive - Walmart and Ingles I think. The driveway to the property was something we not used to, but since there were no ice we had no problems getting there in our SUV (not 4W).
Overall we liked our stay and would recommend this place for a getaway.
Nice and peaceful cabin in the woods. The cabin is clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Jason was great.
My husband and I loved this cozy "little cabin nestled in the woods"! Perfect for one or two couples, or family of 4, this mountain cabin is very clean and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. We loved the gas-log fireplace, great flat screen tv, amply-supplied kitchen, and beautiful view from the front porch. Conveniently located, we were able to drive to restaurants, grocery stores, John C. Campbell Folk School, library, hiking trails, golf courses, and shops just a short distance away. Jason was a pleasure to work with on this rental. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I were looking for a quiet and peaceful place to get away. The location was ideal, great community and lovely time of year. Nice, clean and comfortable accommodations. We enjoyed our week.
My husband and I are avid mountain bikers and we heard about some awesome trails at RabbitHll located in and around the Lake Chatuge area. We wanted to stay nearby but have our privacy at the same time. Fortunately for us, I stumbled upon this very lovely, quaint little chalet nestled on the side of a mountain with an amazing view and all the privacy we wanted. From the moment we first walked inside, I knew I had made the right choice; the cabin was fresh, clean and cozy with that home away from home feeling!
I would most definetly recommend this wonderful little cabin to anyone that enjoys the great outdoors or just a quite getaway. Make sure you check out the locat market, Ingles. An amazing store with absolutely anything and everything you could possibly want or need.
Thanks NC for having us and much thanks to Jason for sharing his lovely home away from home with us!!
