Our house is located on a tidal basin that has seven feet of water at high tide.... perfect for crabbing, fishing or swimming. The beach is only two blocks away. A very easy walk. The location is very quiet and a perfect get away. You can keep your small boat at the dock which is only 20 mins from the ocean via Big Bay Creek. Most boats can get into the basin easily from three hours before and after high tide. The pristine view is facing conservation property that has a nice three mile hiking trail. The house was totally renovated three years ago and has all the comforts of home. Many local restaurants to choose within a mile.

Our house is located at 301 Jungle Shores (near the intersection of Whaley) on a tidal basin that has seven feet of water at high tide.... perfect for crabbing, fishing or swimming. This house is everything and more than described in the house description. The location is perfect. It is just a short walk to the beach and local restaurants. The views from the porches and house are beautiful. The decor of the home is lovely with antiques throughout. The house is exceptionally clean and well kept both inside and out. The kitchen is well equipped with nice appliances and upgrades.You do not feel like you are staying at a beach rental but rather your home. We especially enjoyed leisurely lunches on the screened porch while watching the ever changing views of the marsh. The kayaks were an added bonus! The kids swam and kayaked just off the dock. I just can't say enough about the charm and elegance of this home. The owner was very polite and responsive to our inquiries. We look forward to returning next year.

The description of the house and location was exactly as stated. The birds and other wild life fromthe marsh side was so interesting. Loved it. We chose to go the the state park beach, very clean and the waves were just the right size to play and float in.

Went into Charleston for a day, but spent most of the time right there on Edesto. Lots of seafood. Did find a breakfast and hamberger place. DO NOT EAT. AT THE PLACE ON THE BEACH
BY THE STATE PARK. Don't remeber the name but is a large place and looks like it would really be good - no. Will recommend this to others, already have. Would love togo back again.

Perfect Location for the discerning traveller

This house is set up for the discerning traveller and the photos represent the house perfectly. The kitchen is set up for a cook, altho the counters are not particularly practical as they are wood. We LOVED being able to kayak & swim from the dock as well as sit and watch the birds and fish change with the tide from the screened deck. We experienced several frustrations: playing a DVD was a trial & error process as it is run through a stereo receiver and directions were not available; the gas grill had no petrol w/three empty canisters; 2/3 bedrooms had hard, not comfy mattresses; and one of the bikes was unsafe to ride due to a bubble in the tire.
Despite these, would we go again? DEFINITELY, this location is dreamland for those who like a more natural setting vs. a la Myrtle Beach. The restaurants all serve excellent food and shopping is within walking distance.

This home is clean,tastefully decorated and well supplied with games, excellent wildlife and coastal reading materials and great maps for navigating through marsh areas in the kayaks that come with the house. This house is also very private and in a beautidul setting. We loved all of the outside gathering areas ie.. large screened porch , covered patio area with table, comfy chairs and a hammock, and recliners on the dock.Fantastic outside shower with view of the waterway! The owners of the property were very easy and pleasant to work with. We definitely plan on returning!

Perfect Retreat

This property is very comfortable and doesn't have generic rental property feel. The decor, bedding and kitchen is well-stocked with pots/utensils. The house is secluded from neighboring houses and quiet. The screened-in porch is a great place to sit and study the marsh. You can listen to music anywhere around the house and outside. There is an outdoor patio great for larger get-togethers. Outdoor shower is great. Only drawback is lack of ethnic dining on or near the island. Also, no pharmacy nearby--good 30 minutes away. Two favorite acitivities were biking to nearby state park and kayaking.
