The Cabin with seasonal mountain views is only 7 miles from Helen located in Chattahoochee Acres. Only one mile from the cabin at the end of our road is the Chattahoochee River for trout fishing, canoeing, or tubing down the river. Just a few minutes away is a golf course open to the public. The road is both paved and gravel, and it is only two tenths of a mile to the cabin. All owners pay a road maint. fee to keep the roads up and accessible. Seating in the living room is complete with sofa bed and 52' TV. Two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a child size rollaway bed, a full kitchen with pots and pans, and a seperate dining area. Our cabin is located only a few minutes from Helen, Georgia, a beautiful Alpine village with lots to see and do and the world's longest OCTOBERFEST. This is a smoke free cabin. We ask our guest to smoke outside to keep our cabin healthy for children and nonsmokers. Pets Considered.

The north Georgia mountains are fun in the wintertime for shopping and stopping at one of the quaint little shops for a cup of hot chocolate or coffee, hiking, and sightseeing nearby attractions. Helen goes all out decorating for the Christmas season. Our cabin is especially great just to relax and get away from it all. While sitting on the front porch sipping your coffee; you may even see deer or wild turkey come across the yard. Go down our drive turn left and at the the end of the road is the Chattahoochee River for great trout fishing, canoeing, or even tubing down the river. Horseback riding is located only a few miles from the cabin on Hwy. 17 as well as canoe rentals,shops and the famous Old Sautee Store. Babyland Nursery is in Cleveland home of the world famous Cabbage Patch Dolls a great place to visit for any age, especially girls, and even better admission is free. We have brochures on the coffee table for sightseeing and points of interest as well as nearby restaurants

More Cabin Information: Our living room has a 52 inch television to enjoy while relaxing after a full day of activities. Canoe and tubing rental available for the adventurous only a few miles from the cabin on Hwy. 17. The river is only one mile from the cabin. Go down our drive turn left, go around the curve in the road until it ends. Parking is on the right and before the two story house on the hill. Front porch of cabin is covered and has 4 rocking chairs and a swing. Back deck has a fire pit for enjoying the cool autumn evenings. Umbrella picnic table, chairs, gas grill and a small portable charcoal grill are provided.

Secluded Getaway

At first we were a bit frightened that the cabin was a bit secluded but in the end we enjoyed being away from it all! We were very glad we rented an SUV because of the unpaved road and slight incline to reach the cabin but what an adventure to get there! We are from the city so we had to get use to the bugs but after the first night we felt very comfortable. The owner was excellent; she made every effort to make sure we were happy (Thanks Judy!). The cabin was well kept, beautifully decorated, and spacious. It had all the amenities of home and more! The price was right and I would recommend this cabin it to anyone. Great place to just relax!

Visit Tallulah Gorge, Ruby Falls, and go Helen Tubing ($2 less and a longer ride than "Blue Cool Water" which is the other tubing company) on the Chattahoochee River. Lots of family Fun! But ONLY choose the $3 one time trip; the first day we were convinced to get the $10 all day pass but it turned out to be a waste of money because we were exhausted after one trip (its more then 2 hour in the water!). And if you’re up for the trip again get on for another $3 and still less then the $10 all day pass. Forget the water park the river is a blast and fun for all ages.
Owner's Response: I wish to thank FTL for this great review or our cabin, and for my future renters to know that the road has been paved and a SUV is not necessary or really never has been. The incline as FTL mentioned is not a problem.

Pure peace!!

This was one of the most enjoyable cabins I have ever rented! The owners, Jim and Judy absolutely go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The cabin is spacious, beautiful, and has pretty much anything you need to stay. The surroundings are absolutely breathtaking and the sight of deer and wild turkeys was amazing!,,right in the yard! If you want to relax...please rent this cabin!..the price is right and the peace of mind you will get is priceless! We can not wait to go back!

Wow, Wow, Wow!

Wow really doesn't do this property and its owners justice, but I will use it for lack of a better word at this time.

From the very 1st contact I had with the owners, all the way to the point that I was pulling away from the cabin, everything was great. Well, maybe not pulling away was great, because staying a few more days would have been really great.

The rental process was very easy and safe, the instructions and directions were very understandable, and upon the first step into the cabin I knew that the right choice had been made. It truly exceeded our expectations and every minute of the stay was most enjoyable. Although it rained one day, that was not a hinderance. A rainy morning called for a day of sleeping in and then a cup of coffee on the front porch swing while listening to the rain fall on the roof.

The location was far enough away yet close enough to many areas of interest. On our last day there, during breakfast, we were blessed to have a visitor walk by the back porch. A young doe strolled by and hesitated for a few pictures. The squirrels were even being photogenic that day!

Probably the most memorable moment for me was stepping outside the morning after the rain. Being atop a hill and in amongst plenty of trees, the fresh smell that entered my nostrils at that point was definitely something to take from my trip.

This will surely be a point of return for me in the future to enjoy the company of family or friends, to rest and to experience the wonders of God's creation!

Great Cabin

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was clean and nicely decorated! The amenities were great--Jim and Judy even provided the laundry detergent needed to wash clothes.

Also, we were very thankful to be allowed to bring our family pet with us. It was wonderful to sit on the porch sipping coffee and listening to the river.

We appreciate Jim and Judy for allowing us to stay at their cabin on such a short notice as this trip was not a planned vacation. It was the first time we had stayed there and we were very pleased.

We would recommend the following attractions: Old Sautee Store, Cool River Tubing, and The Gourd Place. In Helen, don't miss Betty's Country Story and the Hofners Bakery!

My family and I would definitely recomment this cabin and we hope to visit again soon.

We had such a great time from the moment we walked in the door.It was just a very nice place to spend our family vacation. It was clean and had everything that you needed. The yard and outside surroundings were just perfect, we seen deer the day we arrived and the morning we were getting ready to leave, that made our whole trip. We did not want to leave, I felt like I was at home. We will be returning and that is for sure.Thank you so much for making our family vacation great.
