Come visit our vacation home on Coweeta Creek. Sit on anyone of 4 levels of decks and read a book in a serene setting as you listen to the water babbling below. Our home offers a warm and cozy environment for resting after a day filled with a wide choice of activities that are close by. There's a fully equipped kitchen and gas grill if you wish to cook or many restaurants to eat at in the area. Only 8 tenths of a mile off hwy 441, yet you'll feel deep in the woods surrounded by tall trees and silence.

Car: necessary
Otto is centrally located just south of Franklin NC and only a short distance from Dillard GA. Highlands is just 20 miles up a scenic highway and Murphy NC is an hour journey through the Smoky Mountains. Hiking, antiquing, fishing, white water and horseback riding is only minutes away. The gambling casino in Cherokee is just an hour ride. We are 10 minutes from the movie theater and the Fun Factory for the kids. But best of all grab a tube and tube down our own creek!

  • Our house has two floors. The top floor has the two double beds in one room and also the study is on the top floor with a sleeper sofa. The upstairs bedroom has its own entrance and private deck. The master bedroom is on the bottom floor and opens onto a deck. Both bedrooms have separate bathrooms.

Get away from the traffic and noise of the city, but yet you are only 10 minutes away from restaurants and all the modern conveniences. This is one of the most accessible and centrally located spots in the mountains.

This place is fantastic! The furnishings and amenities have been so carefully chosen, it does seem like home with nothing missing. Everything is welcoming and very clean. And, if you must, there is even an office area.
Not only that, it is so roomy and comfortable that you can easily be by yourself or join with others depending on your wishes at any given time.
There's a nice game table off the living room, overlooking the river and up in the trees where puzzle making or a relaxed cup of coffee is a natural attraction.
This is a place that I plan to go again and again - by myself for a private retreat, with friends for time away together, and with my family for a relaxed, fun time with a river fun and many local "attactions" nearby but not distracting or overwhelming.
It is easily accessible, just off highway 441 on good roads, but back into the woods and just far enough up the mountain that it feels like a remote piece of paradise.
I was there in August and it was lovely sitting out on the deck by the river - on several different porches - but I can hardly wait to go back in the fall and in the springtime when the seasons are changing!
Would I recommend it to family and friends? You bet! But, then again, maybe I should keep this as a secret get-away.

Very nice place,me and my wife had a great time.really enjoy the views and the sound's of the creek running below the many decks on this property.great hiking,fishing,white water rafting all close by.lot's of windows give you a very open feel.short distance to the Great Smokey Mounting National Park.also many good restaurants close by for those who don't want to cook.all and all a great getaway.
