Just 26 miles from Yosemite National Park heading East on Highway 120. There are no sidewalks, streetlights, or fences. The lake has 6 miles of shoreline, 3 sandy swimming beaches, and stays full year-round. Canoes, kayaks, rowboats, sailboats, paddle boats and fishing boats are all available to rent at the main Marina. There is also an 18 hole Championship Golf Course, Tennis Courts, Swimming Pool, Country Club Restaurant and Lounge, Campgrounds, Hiking and Walking Trails, Equestrian Center and Airport.

Just returned from a wonderful few days at 'the Escape'. The property exceeded all our expectations.The location is superb. It is an easy drive to Yosemite and to the Columbia State Historic Park. We hope to return one day. Many thanks to Sharon and her family for helping to make our first visit to California something we will never forget.

The Escape

We had an excellent time at 'The Escape' the home was really beautiful, clean and comfortable, the kids had fun playing outside around the house and playing ping pong. We drove to Yosemite it was about a 30 minute drive to the entrance and then it's another 30 minute drive to Yosemite Valley but it was a beautiful drive. We had dinner in Groveland Saturday night at the oldest drinking establishment in California The Iron Door and the burgers were great. Sunday we went to the lake and the kids had a great time swimming. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Our mountain getaway

This home was beautiful! One of the nicest we have had the pleasure of staying in. It seemed brand new! The photos did not do it justice. The view from the back of all of the deer in the area was beautiful. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were comfortable. The house was immaculate. The movies and games supplied were fun for all of our guests. (4 adults and 3 teenagers). There was even a piano and one of our guests entertained us with his accomplished playing. (He commented that the piano was of high quality and sound.) The trip down to Yosemite was reasonable and the views in the area were spectacular. The contact from the property owners was appropriate and they were there to answer questions we had once we arrived. We definitely would consider this property on a return visit.
