POOL, HOT TUB & LOCATION SAYS IT ALL ! Across from the beach - no parking meters to pay! The cottage consist of 2 separate units - can be rented as a whole or can be rented separately. The Turtle has 2 bedrooms, 1 King bed, 1 Queen, 1 Twin & sofa sleeper, 1 full bath , furnished kitchen, liv/din room., washer/dryer, cable TV, DVD & free WiFi. The cottage has 2 nice porches with furniture, gas grill, umbrella table, chairs, & 2 porch swings. Your location puts you close to everything such as Restaurants, Shops, Playground,Basketball,Volleyball & Tennisc Courts, Tybee Lighthouse, Tybee's Pier. Gym & Library, etc. Next to the Turtle, walk through the sailboat gate & enter 'The Garden of Eden'- a courtyard with an array of flowers, tropical trees, dolphin water fountain, covered arbor, & soft night lighting along with wicker seating. Here is where you'll find the large 44 ft. pool & hot tub. The pool & hot tub are shared by 2 other units should they be rented at the same time. Lots of room outside for large groups in the courtyard area & pool.

303 A Butler Avenue - Location details below: Butler Avenue is the main & closest street to the ocean running parallel to the beach. You are on Butler & 3rd Streets; a great spot to the beach & many attractions. A crosswalk provided & you're on the beach. No paying parking meters! One parking space per unit. A restaurant & restrooms are located right here on the beach. Ships entering & leaving Savannah's harbor can be observed here at this location. The lighthouse & pier are are in walking distance should you want to take a nice, leisure walk. We provide a beach cart to assist you with caring your cooler, towels, food, beach chairs, etc. How easy is that?

I have been in the rental business for years and have lived on Tybee Island for 24 yrs. Once I retired from the Board of Education, I started my own Vacation Rental Business and invested in other properties here on the island. I am proud to say that it is a family owned business - both my sons are Captains with Savannah Fire Department & they handle all construction & maintenance, my wonderful daughter-in-law is my Agent, & my husband helps out with various important task, & last but not least, our 4 Lb. Yorkie, 'Scooter', is our mascot of my company, 'coastalgeorgiacottages'

This property is unique and has that special touch inside and out. You have a fabulous courtyard to enjoy along with the pool & hot tub. The tropical atmosphere & decor gives it that island look everyone welcomes along with a romantic feel throughout the garden. The cottage is totally equipped and the beach decor will put you in the island mood.

This nostalgic, Tybee cottage has that quaint cottage look it once had years ago, but with today's modern conveniences. The Turtle has a beach atmosphere all of its own, including a few nesting turtles. The Turtle's location puts you in the heart of everything on the island. You have first class seats to watch parades & marathons from your own front porch & a back porch for family gatherings. A activity book is provided with useful information; maps, tours, restaurants, etc. Coffee is supplied upon your arrival along with a well equipped kitchen to whip up anything you desire. As a convenience to our guest, we supply your first roll of paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, hand soap,& kleenex, but you will need to supply the paper products & detergents afterwards. In addition, you have off street parking - no parking meters to pay - crosswalk is provided by the house and you're on the beach. Tybee Shuttle goes right by the house should you want to explore the island or just rent a bike around the corner & see for yourself.

Each is independent from one another (having their own privacy but also a great way for families or friends to be close by instead of down the street. Rent the whole cottage w/4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms OR rent one unit w/2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Each unit sleeps 6 people. Exactly How I Imagined

Just home from my 2nd visit to Turtle Cottage (3rd with Coastal Georgia Cottages). There is a reason I returned there - I love how it makes me feel! When you walk in the door a smile will spread across your face and you are instantly relieved that it is exactly how you pictured it. It is comfortable, clean and convenient. It has plenty of elbow room and a gorgeous courtyard. I have already made so many memories at Turtle Cottage and Tybee Island and I plan to make many more.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Enchanting, whimsical cottage

My sisters and I just just left Turtle Cottage yesterday. The pictures give you a glimpse of the effort the owner puts into the detail. We were all so charmed by the house. We were also very close to the beach, shops, we rented bikes, we enjoyed the awesome pool. Our neighbors were friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them. It was really a wonderful, wonderful trip, made most special by the owner's personal attention and care of Turtle Cottage. I'm going to do my best to come back and make more memories with my husband ... SOON! P.S. Richard, no tickets! And Alicia, thank you so much! You ARE the hostess with the mostest!

Absolutely Wonderful

We stayed at the Turtle Cottage the weekend of May 20, 2011. The cottage itself was like an island retreat. Absolutely full of island flavor with such whimsical decor throughout. Beautiful property including the garden arbor and pool/hot tub. We travel yearly to Jamaica and spents thousands of dollars to stay at The Sandals Resorts, however we found the Turtle just as relaxing and inviting. The location was awesome as well. Right across from the beach and a few blocks from bike rental shops where we rented bikes and traveled all over the island. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to experience such a lovely vacation. We have definitely found a new vacation spot and I am sure we will be back!!!

Delightfully Decorated and Conveniently Located

My family had a great vacation at the turtle cottage in tybee. We consisted of 4 adults and 2 teenage kids. The kids slept on the pullout sofa and grandma and grandpa had the room with the twin beds. It was snug but we enjoyed the close quarters. The kitchen had everything we needed except a large skillet. There was plenty of closet space and towels and a nice washer and dryer. We loved the private back porch area and it's great location. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Turtle Cottage overall good recommendation

We spent our spring break vacation at Turtle Cottage March 28-March 31. This was a vacation for our grandkids to see the ocean for the first time. One reason we chose this rental was for the heated pool and hot tub and their privacy. Unfortunately, the pool nor the hot tub were heated. We thought since this time of year is questionable for temperature that if temperature did not allow for ocean swimming, at least we could swim in the heated pool. The pool was colder than the ocean. Also, the pool area is seperate from the cottage. We could not see it or get to it directly from the cottage. The cottage itself was very clean and comfortable. We were hoping to be able to see the ocean from the property. We knew we would cross the road to the ocean, but we didn't know that there was a large condo complex between the cottage and the ocean. It was not clear in the reviews or property ad descriptions. Hopefully, this will help others that are looking to know a little more. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others that are looking for a little more privacy than a hotel provides.

The description and pictures of the cottage are exact & up to date. The pool is not heated and the hot tub is heated as stated in the description. The hot tub is on a schedule timer because we don't run it 24-7. We turn it on other times for guest by just requesting it; which we may have done for you.

The pool is located through the sailboat gate next door as stated on the rental description, which is about 25 feet away. There is no where in the description that you can see the pool from the cottage or that it is located on the property. The description also states that you use the cross-walk to get to the beach. It does not say it is ocean view and it is even checked - not ocean view - but is checked - close to beach. We're sorry that you were disappointed, but we can only describe the property as is not as you would like to see it.

We go the extra mile to try to satisfy people, but I know it's impossible to satisfy everyone even tho we try. We are content that you found the cottage very clean and comfortable and would recommend it to others.
