You can make many trips within half an hour drive! Car recommended, we are 1mile from the highway. Many buses and minibuses (Colectivos) run along the highway between Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum.

The house has a nice breeze due to its proximity to the ocean. We are 2 minute walk to the beach, around the tennis court, gazebo and fresh water lake with fish and some birds. You don't need to cross any road to get there, very safe. Beach Paraiso - Paradise Beach is an extension of Maroma beach which was voted as one of the nicest beaches in the world. Many activities for all ages! From sporty ones - zip lines, snorkeling, scubadiving, fishing, ATV's, jungle tours, tennis , golf to leisure ones - strolling on the 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen admiring local artisans, dancers and musicians that are almost always there. Great restaurants and night life - if you wish! The atmosphere is really catchy! All of that only 1 block fro m the ocean and 15 min from our house! Other towns include Puerto Morelos, Akumal etc. Don't miss Mayan pyramids in Tulum or Chitzen- Itza. Theme parks - Xcaret, Tres Rios or Xel-Ha- offer great activities in one spot.

We can arrange the sleeping setup either for up to 5 couples, each in a large private bedroom - 4 with king size bed and 1 with queen size. Or for family reunions, having parents, kids and grandparents; or friends going for vacation. Please ask! Every room has ceiling fan, its own AC unit with a digital remote control and timer. The layout of the house is very open and is very nicely combined with the outdoor space. The swimming pool is very large, Lshape, 42 ft for lap swimming and shallow area for the kids. Proffesionaly made tropical gardens make you feel you are in a private paradise! Playa Paraiso is in between 2 mega resorts, where you can use some of their facilities. Great Golfing- within 5 min there are 3 nicest golf courses on the Riviera Maya. Iberostar - designed by PB Dye, Mayan Palace - designed by Jack Nicklaus and Maya Coba . This villa and its owners were amazing......from the minute we arrived until the minute we left we felt at home..(the owners leave)..Very clean ,everything is brand new,the pool is awesome,the beach was awesome....the tennis court with new nets was awesome......and the ambience was great...Michelle the owner is fantastic helping with stocking of the Villa(she did everything we requested)...to suggesting tours....to how to get around....she also cooks a excellent breakfast if u would like to hire her.....Great time.......Cheers

Great house but we wouldn't stay there again

In the last two years, this is the fifth time we rent a vacation rental... but I'm sorry to tell you this is the only place of all that we have been, where we wouldn't come back.
As the title mention, the house was very good, not what I would call luxurious but it has big spaces and amenities for the whole family. The beach is really gorgeous and not so far.
Although we received the house not very clean (used toilet paper in the basket and used soap in the bathroom, dirty toilet, etc...) we decided to not give to much attention to these minor details and spend a great time on our vacation.
But it was really uncomfortable to have the owner coming at the door every day to ask you to turn of this or that light, to pick up some forgotten stuff or to water her plants.... one afternoon she even enter and cross the whole room where some of us where taking a nap to turn of one light!!!
The reason might be that the owners actually live in that house and she may be very worry that the travelers take good care of the place... we really tried to understand her but it was really unpleasant to lose your hole privacy...
So if you don't care to have the owner with you during the week, go ahead. As I mentioned at the beginning the house and beach are great.
Owner's Response: I am very sorry that my renters felt they lost “all the privacy” by me coming to the house 3-4 times during the week to ask if everything was OK. My experience so far was that people actually appreciated it and had many questions – from where to get a massage, where is the best snorkeling, diving, restaurants, or simply to get them a good deal on golf fees.

I think the whole perception of the renters being uncomfortable started when we refused to accommodate their extra guests at the last minute. They were already a large group (19 people) that exceeded my normal number of people for my villa and they wanted to add 2 more. I even helped them to get extra accommodation in the neighborhood. I also tolerated the extra person that continually came to my home to visit or whatever.

I understand that different people have different needs; maybe these people felt "leave me alone in my own country where you are a foreigner". However this was my first experinece like this.
Had this been brought to my attention, they would not have seen me onsite.

I was living in the home prior to their arrival and am sure that the bathrooms were left in very clean conditions.

I was taken by surprise by this review. They had ample opportunity to bring any of their issues to my attention which unfortunately did not happen.

I am sorry that my renters did not feel content in my house.

Great House

Just returned from a 1 week stay at the house. Was a great trip! House is very spacious, gardens are beautiful, private pool is great -- especially for children, and owners Michelle and Milan were lovely! They checked on us several times, made sure we had plenty of ice and gave great suggestions for sight seeing and restaurants. Playa Paraiso is also in a nice location -- not far from Cancun airport, about 25 minutes from shopping area of Playa Del Carmen (including big Walmart for groceries), 50 minutes to ruins at Tulum. Access to Mayan Resort next door also a plus. Would reccomend staying here for any family traveling to Mexico.

Wonderful time ar

A wonderful host will greet your family who has a wonderful family herself and was a pleasure to have met. Bedrooms are spacuois and comfortable with ensuite bathrooms Even thou I didn't get the luck of the draw on the big bedroom(s) it was still comfortable and I lost no sleep. L.O.L. The villa was everything we had hoped for and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. With all of your modern appliances and your excellent cooking skills breakfast was awesome. Our excursions to Playa Delcarmen, Cozumel, and Xel-Ha went perfectly thanks to the transportation system in the area Highly recomment Rhino Transportation..The weather, was great, no complaints there. We had a great time on the beach, playing tennis and the view from the roof top both day and night was a real treat..I should have slept up there.. Now the pool..well that's just tooooooo big..sorry I couldn't do a whole lap..just kidding..pool is awesome the kid's small and big and bigger just loved it..Well so long for now..but not good bye..Love from all of us..The Villa is awesome!!!!

Casa Andalucia

We (party of 9) stayed at Casa Andalucia over Christmas, 2007. There was plenty to do on-site- billiards table, satellite TV, sound system, large pool, access to tennis court- and the large common areas made the stay very comfortable as we never felt 'packed in'. The pool area is great, very large and very private, which you cannot say about many other homes in the area. The owners were very gracious and helpful and the property is very well maintained. The home is in a relatively new development with some on-going construction but it did not affect this home. In addition to the neighboring resorts, Casa Andalucia is convenient to both Puerto Moreles and Playa del Carmen but a car is a must. If you are looking at renting in the Playa Paraiso area I would highly recommend Casa Andalucia.
