LUXURIOUS BEACHFRONT CONDO - BRAND NEW!! - BEST OF OCEANFRONT LIVING! !

La Paloma Blanca is a really great property- well maintained, clean and beautiful. There are a few pools to choose from, so if one has not enough/too much activity, there are options. It's right on the beach, which was stunning. We also liked that it wasn't that big or small...I would guess the complex has about 60 condos.

The condo itself was very, very nice. The pictures show a good representation of the experience at the condo. I really appreciated having a washer/dryer available, as well as a DVD player to watch a movie in the afternoon during 'downtime'. Full kitchen was available (though we didn't use it!). Beds were a little hard, but no worries there. When we looked at other properties in Jaco, we were very pleased about choosing La Paloma Blanca.

Here are a couple of things I would have wanted different:
There was no maid service. We thought someone would come at some point during the week, but that didn't happen. We didn't really need it, but the book said we should expect it, so we were surprised.
There are no guests allowed on the property. We had a big group down for a wedding in Jaco, so we were disappointed our friends were unable to hang out with us at any point on the property.
I didn't consider this 'walking' distance to downtown Jaco, though a taxi ride was less than $2, so no complaints. I guess if it wasn't so HOT there, it would be walking distance. Taxi numbers can be found in the info book in the condo.

A couple of tips:
There's a GREAT little restaurant a few steps from La Paloma Blanca, just turn right when you exit by the beach and you'll run into it. Healthy food and smoothies, great views.
Bring an umbrella. Sounds like a no-brainer when headed to the rainforest, but we didn't think about it. It only rained in the late afternoon/evening when we were there, so it was nice and sunny each morning/day.

Overall, this is a great place for a great price. Hope you enjoy your stay!

The condo was everything we wanted for a 2 month stay in Jaco, well maintained and modern. The Daystar onsight staff provided us with assistance on setting up tours and suggestions for a wonderful vacation. Having wireless access allowed us to check back home while enjoying the amenities of Costa Rica. We had guests who visited who now want to return on their own. We are hoping for a return visit next year.

My family and I vacationed to Jaco over the xmas and New Year's holidays, it was by far one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. Costa Rica is a beautiful country with so much to do and see, but with the ability to do it at your own pace.
La Paloma Blanca is in my opinion one of the most luxurious stays in Jaco, from it's beautiful grounds, inviting pools, as well as the direct location on the beach, it is the place to stay with all the comforts of home included.
Jon was incredibly helpful with all of our pre-trip questions and made our stay that much more enjoyable as a result. Ken and Michelle added to our great experience by providing us with a complete rundown of what to do, where to do it, as well as recommending some great restaurants our entire family would enjoy.
I only have one piece of advice for those traveling to the area, pack light, let go of all your overscheduled commitments and enjoy!
