The place is great, in ideal location. Beautiful views and glen arbor is the perfect "up north" town.
However, the bathrooms have carpet from the 80's/70's and that is a polite estimate. Bathrooms should never have carpet to begin with. The carpet in the bathrooms is shaggy and very unhygenic. The house is clean everywhere else but stepping out of the shower onto 30 year old thick carpet gives me the creeps.
Would love to come back or reccommend if this small change could be made. Had a few guests visit during our week and they all seperatley commented on this fact. Otherwise everyone loves the property.
It is a very small change to make for a beautiful property. I would reccommend to anybody if this sanitary change was made. My friends that came to visit said the same.
Owner's Response: As the owner of this property, I’m pleased that my home on the beach of Sleeping Bear Bay was recognized to be ideal. I agree that it is the perfect house in the perfect location with the best views. Over the past few years the house has been renovated and upgraded with new granite kitchen and bathroom countertops, new sinks and fixtures, new appliances, new windows and plantation shutters and many other updates. The carpeting is professionally cleaned each year and bath and shower mats are provided in both bathrooms for guests. It is unfortunate that this review reflected a concern, and equally unfortunate that it was posted six months after the visit.
