Non skiers will enjoy the day with a hike/walk around the neighborhood and cuddled up with a book by the fireplace enjoying the beauty of pure Vermont at it's best. “Bear Down” was designed with the skier in mind as the entry/mud room has individual cubbies for your boots, helmets and gloves. Adjacent next the mud room is the washer dryer so that the wet stuff after playing in the snow can go right in! The house is equipped with a real wood fireplace that is gas lit, making getting started a breeze. The living quarters have been designed for entertaining. The chef of the group will never feel alone while preparing the meal as everyone is part of the environment which leads to many pitching in. Many hands make for light work as they say! Dinners at “bear down” always feel like a holiday, creating memories. The kids in the group will all gather upstairs in the TV/video room and bond together giving the adults time on their own. The bedding at “Bear down” is of top quality. This insures a good night sleep when it’s your time to turn in. Skiing is conveniently located, with Okemo’s Jackson Gore only 5 miles south, and Killington’s Sky ship gondola 13 miles north.
