House, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 7-10)

Come enjoy a lakefront home in Lake Lure, North Carolina that is in the Rumbling Bald Resort (Lake Lure Golf and Beach Club). There is so much to do here, golf, tennis, swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing, hiking or just realxing and reading.

Bald Mountain Lake is a 65 acre private lake just north of Lake Lure. If you enjoy peace and quiet but still want outdoor adventures then Bald Mountain Lake is for you. A jon boat with electric trolling motor and 2 kayaks are included in the rental to help you enjoy the area even more!

The resort includes all the amenities such as golf, tennis, fitness center, spa, indoor/outdoor pools, child's play area, private 'beach area' on Lake Lure, several restaurants, as well as a sunset dinner cruise. You also have the option of renting boats to explore either lake as well.

The home is just steps away from the driveway so it is accessible to all. Come in and enjoy the great open floor plan with views of the lake and mountains through three full sliding glass doors with screens. A great way to bring the outdoors in during a beautiful day. The family room has an incredible stone fireplace with gas logs and a comfortable sitting area with a TV/DVD. This floor also has a dinning area, kitchen with great views, master bedroom with a queen bed and a second bedroom with a queen bed and bunk beds. Both of these bedrooms have their own bathroom. The large balcony off the family area is partially covered with a comfortable large hammock and outside dinning area.

The downstairs has a third bedroom with a queen bed and a fourth bedroom with 2 twins. There is a full bath, laundry room and another refrigerator. Kids will also love their own play area downstairs with a Flat screen TV with theater DVD system. There are lots of toys, games, movies, fosse ball table, and books to be enjoyed by all. This play area also opens up to a screen porch with beautiful views.

Lake Lure was selected as one of the ten most beautiful man-made lakes in the world by National Geographic. Lake Lure and Bald Mountain Lake are nestled in the serene setting of the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. You will discover the magic and bounty of nature in this wondrous canyon known as Hickory Nut Gorge. Other surrounding areas include Ashville that has a great farmers market and the beautiful Biltmore Estate, and Chimney Rock that has a great park with hiking, waterfalls, and quaint shopping. Black Mountain, Bat Cave, and Rutherfordton are also close by so there is lots to do. Major motion pictures filmed here include Firestarter, A Breed Apart, Dirty Dancing, and Last of the Mohicans.

Spend the days swimming in the lake straight off the dock with a five step stair type ladder that makes getting in and out of the water easy for all. Or just run and jump off the dock for lots of fun. Don't forget the jon boat with electric trolling motor and 2 kayaks for daily adventures that include wildlife viewing, fishing, or just a lazy cocktail stroll around the lake. Fantastic Vacation!

Treetops provided us with one of the best vacations we have ever taken. The home was clean and well furnished with all the comforts of home. The quiet setting provided us with plenty of relaxation time. The Lake was private and very easy for the kids to navigate in the kayaks and jon boat. We loved sitting on the deck in the early mornings watching the birds and at night got to see our first flying squirrel! The Lake Lure area had something for everyone. We highly recommend zip lining at Canopy Ridge and hiking Chimney Rock. The staff is fantastic and it is safe fun for the whole family. Asheville was a great day trip. Being able to bring out dogs with us made the week extra special. Our only regret was not bringing the golf clubs! Thanks so much for sharing your special place with us. We made memories that will last a lifetime!

My family and I spent a week in July at Treetops and it was truly a great place. My kids ages 15 and 12 had a blast diving off the dock and swimming in the beautiful lake and my elderly parents loved sitting on the large deck watching the birds and nature. The fire pit was great for smores as well. Peaceful location and 10 minutes from chimney rock which was a nice excursion. The living room/dining area was our favorite place the wall of windows looking out to the deck and lake was breath taking. The lake was clear and the kayacks were so much fun. Treetops is a real gem.

Wonderful Vacation

We had our first family vacation in a long time at Treetops, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The house was ideal for two families with young children, with two bedrooms upstairs and two down. The kids played for hours every day on the tree swing, and we all loved the kayaks and the john boat. The lake was private and peaceful -- great for fishing, swimming, and jumping from the dock. Rumbling Bald Resort was nearby, and we enjoyed many of the activities there as well. We went into Chimney Rock a couple of times, and we rode horses at Cedar Creek Stables. Everything was convenient, and people were very friendly. We would definitely go back again.

Our family stayed at Treetops for a long weekend in October and had a wonderful time. It was the perfect setting, situated on a hillside for perfect views of the lake below. The home was pretty and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the views from the deck, making smores by the firepit, and fishing from the lower deck. The swings and the playroom were a big hit with my two year old daughter! It was stocked with books and toys that made her feel right at home. The description was completely accurate and the owner was very helpful. The home was clean and well maintained, and was a short driving distance to surrounding attractions. I would highly recommend this property!

Enjoyable vacation

We enjoyed a wonderful 5 days at Treetops and would definitely recommend this home. The house was clean and comfortable and location in a quiet location but only one mile drive to Rumbling Bald Resort. The photos accurately reflect the rental and the owner was very helpful when reserving this property.
My children loved the toys and playroom but spent most of their time outdoors on the swings. My dog loved swimming in the lake. This rental was so special because of all the extra amenities- the boat, kayaks, swings, camp fire and free admission to the resort which had a lovely pool, lazy river, beach, playground, beach. We also enjoyed day trips to Chimney Rock and Sliding Rock. The weather was great and the locals very friendly.
