Only 15 minutes drive from Asheville, less than 5 miles from Black Mountain in Beautiful Western North Carolina! The property is adjacent to the Pisgah National Forest. Very nearby attractions include The gorgeous Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Mount Mitchell, horseback riding, white water rafting, tours of Biltmore Estates, Mining for gems and gold, fishing, hiking, Linville Falls and Caverns, shopping in the arts and crafts town of Black Mountain, restaurants, libraries, and much, much more! Yet, you would never believe you were that close to civilization. This new cabin is surrounded by trees, and gorgeous views of the mountains. The setting is serene and restful to the max! Please be aware there are a couple of miles of dirt roads (good condition and not difficult), and this property sits on an incline (about 9 degrees). The house is not wheelchair accessible. We have had no problems with any members of our families or friends who have come up to see the house.

Beautiful cabin!

We rented this cabin to show some guests from out of the country the Asheville/Blue Ridge Parkway area and were very pleased with everything. My husband and I rent cabins in the NC mountains at least once a year and this was by far the nicest one we've had.

The location was great- about 10 minutes from Old Fort, 15-20 minutes to Black Mountain and maybe 25-30 minutes to Asheville. You definitely have a "cabin in the woods" feel here. The cabin itself was gorgeous and very obviously well taken care of and maintained. It was spotlessly clean and the most well appointed cabin we've ever stayed at. We did not have to improvise with anything in the kitchen- everything was there!

We had plenty of room for the 7 adults in our party. There was a spacious deck and a gas grill which got some use. The area was very quiet with not much traffic and you could hear the stream across the road if you sat outside or had the windows open!

We were all very pleased with the cabin and will return the next time we host a large (for us) party.

Outstanding cabin!

We visited during our Spring Break in March - flying in from the west coast. We had seen the photos of this place and when we arrived we found that they do not do the cabin justice. This cabin is incredible, one of the best places we have ever stayed. It is very well outfitted with comfortable beds, chairs, sofas. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. And despite the snow flakes outside, it was always warm and comfortable. It is an easy drive to Black Mountain, Asheville, or the Blue Ridge Parkway. And up the hill are Forest Lands with wonderful quiet forest roads to hike on. If our travel plans include western North Carolina again, we will certainly like to stay here again.

Beautiful!

We just returned from a long weekend at this beautiful cabin in the woods. It is everything we were hoping it would be. The pictures are accurate, however you cannot really tell how lovely the home is until you see it in person. The owners were extremely helpful and responsive, answering my many questions before we even finalized our booking! After we arrived, we spent a lot of time exploring the area although the long weekend was not nearly enough time to see and do all we would've liked. Black Mountain is very close and accessible, with restaurants and grocery stores nearby for all you could possible need. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to be back soon (and often)! One note: The road to the cabin is not paved, so if you happen to be there in less than perfect weather, it could get a little tough to travel.

Get away from it all!

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle in comfort and luxury, this is the cabin for you. Quiet, roomy, clean, homey & comfortable all describe this cabin near Black Mountain, NC. Lots of wonderful shops and restaurants in Black Mountain and Asheville is not that far. The owners were very helpful and I would recommend this to my friends and family.

This house easily accommodated two families with a total of 6 kids -- 10 of us in all! We had a great stay! It has all the comforts of home.
