FLOWER COTTAGES

Kayakoy Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Light spacious villa for family/group of friends or cottage for small family

Levissi Han is is tucked away behind high stone walls. When you enter the gate the oasis-like scene will take your breath away. Comprised of one charming 4 bedroom villa, Honeysuckle Villa, set in secluded, shaded gardens. The property has its own shaded terrace area with garden furniture and there is also a 10m by 6m swimming pool and a bar in the grounds. The large pool terrace is secluded and not overlooked.

Levissi Han cottage is perfect for a romantic break for two, with its log fires and candlelit fireplace and individual decor.

The owners live locally and are happy to help with any information you might need. We also have a boat moored locally and regular, private boat trips are organised for residents. Watching the sunset aboard makes a lovely romantic end to a perfect trip.

Levissi Han is only 7km from Fethiye and Olu Deniz in the mountainous region of Kaya Village close to all amenities but far away enough to offer perfect peace.

Things to do.:

A leisurely breakfast on your own patio, under the dappled shade of the vine with only the birdsong to disturb you.

An early morning, refreshing swim in the sun warmed pool before setting off to the market to brows the stalls groaning with fresh fruit, sun ripened olives, delicious cheeses and yoghurt, free range eggs and a multitude vegetable and greens, both familiar and unfamiliar.

Visit the temple of Letoon and discover the story behind the sunken temple ruins, then on to Xanthos where you can explore the incredible ancient city with its almost perfectly preserved mosaics. Next stop could be one of the trout farms for a fresh fish and salad lunch before moving on to the magnificent canyon where the ice cold waters rush down from the mountain top tumbling over the rounded boulders. Then a leisurely drive back through the countryside as the sun sets.

Chill out or Romance: Picture.... The turquoise shimmer of the silky, blue sea and the panorama of the dramatic, rocky coastline as you take a memorable trip on our own boat. Swim and snorkel in one the many coves along the way. At lunchtime you can indulge yourself in the fantastic BBQ lunch prepared for you on board. Then later, still on the boat, watch the unforgettable riot of colour starting yellow and orange, shifting to crimson and magenta then deepening to purple and indigo as the sun sets over the horizon on the sea. That's one of Ibo's special boat trips.

Romance.... Soft sultry nights silent and still as you take a meander back to your cosy comfortable cottage after a mouthwatering, healthy meal cooked for you in the traditional way over an open fire. Stars sparkling like diamonds on black velvet when you gaze up into the universe and eternity before having a nightcap in our bar and then retiring to your own out of the way cottage.

Levissi Han is surrounded by a walled garden which means you can relax in the gardens or by the pool without being overlooked from outside. The gardens are natural and filled with fruit trees and beautiful flowering plants. We have also constructed little relaxing corners in typical turkish style with cushions and small tables where you can sit or lie down for a snooze.

The Kaya valley is beautifu and peaceful. If you prefer the sounds of nature to the sounds of city traffic then this could be the place for you. It is surrounded by mountains and also only 6km from the local beach which is reached via a road which winds through the village and the pine forest. There is a wealth of wildlife too such as bee-eater birds, falcons, storks, owls tortoises and bats to name just a few. And in the spring the mountains are full of wild orchids, iris, narcissus, cyclamen and anemones.

URLAUB UNTER FREUNDEN

  • 4 of 5

WHAT A HOLIDAY

  • 5 of 5
Myself and my family stayed in Levissi Han for a week in August and I must say it was one of the best holidays we have all had. The warm welcome we had on arrival was second to none and considering we did not arrive until the early hours of the morning it was amazing. The main villa was very spacious and we also rented two of the cottages which were also very sizeable. All properties were well kept and very clean with the staff maintaining this throughout our stay.

The pool was lovely and a great temperature meaning that you could jump straight in unlike many of the hotel pools that you find.

During our stay we also went on a boat trip provided by the owners of the property which was excellent value for money and again could not have been more hospitable if they tried, providing a great day, nice food and also a child friendly environment.

All I can say is that it was an excellent place to stay and we are already looking for flights to return next year.

Highly recommend a stay.

THT PLEACE THAT WE ALLWAYS BACK.......!

  • 5 of 5
Wonderful welcome from the hosts and guest care.
Our cottage on front had a garden pleace, very romantic.
The bedroom is spacious and breezy with a direct entrance to the spacious bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with everything. The living room has a dining area and resting place, TV and fireplace.
The place has a great location. Without noisy tourist crowds. Nestled between green mountains and not far from several beautiful beaches.
Hosts organize tourist trips by private boat. Also and shopping tour if interested.
Best thing is the freedom to plan every night with something different. You may mix of quiet evenings with noisy bars located 5 minutes away by car or public transport. Homemade dinner or restaurant.
Proposed is a choice between a nice pool near to cottage or visit the beach

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

  • 4 of 5
The three of us came to Kaya for the last 2 weeks of September thinking it might be cold. How wrong can you be? To our surprise and joy it was hot. The cottage we stayed in Levissi Han was a newly built one and it was well equipped although it would benefit from a big table in the kitchen. The area around the pool was very scenic and atmospheric especially with all the lights in the evening reflecting from the water. Absolutely spectacular.
The pool was very clean and refreshingly cool during those hot days (above 30 degrees). Ibo was very helpful with everything we needed or enquired about. Thanks a lot Ibo, you were a great host. Ibo took us on a boat where we went swimming and also sampled some lovely pancakes made by the locals. We were also treated to a little party by the pool in the evening with tasty grilled meat and vegetables and got to meet other neighbours - that was a great introduction to our stay.
The dogs and cats brought a lot of fun to the place as did all the other animals we discovered such as tortoise and a little wild boar Ibo brought one day.
Kaya is a quiet village which has a few small shops and a stall outside selling fruit and vegetables - about a 10-15minute walk from the property. It is easy to walk around here as it is so peaceful with just the locals going about their own business. We walked also to the old village of Kayakoy up on the hill which was a real treat. We later used part of this route to descend down to Oludeniz, a beautiful beach with crystal clear water. An excellent walk even though we got lost at least twice because the way-marking was not consistent in places but it was all great fun.
Good connections to Oludeniz or Fethiye by public transport.
Overall an excellent trip which we will never forget and hope to come back in the future. I would definitely recommend Levissi Han as a place to stay and have a great holiday.

TOTAL RELAXATION

  • 5 of 5
We had a lovely stay at Levissi Han, a beautiful location in the countryside but not far from the beach (transport needed or local buses) or several restaurants with lovely food within walking distance. The old village (ruined) was a fascinating glimpse of relatively recent history, and the current villagers were so friendly and welcoming. Sheri and Ibo provided everything we needed including a superb welcome on our first day. Everything was clean and our cottage was well maintained. One small word of warning, though, despite the mosquito net provided, we both suffered from mosquito bites (although they didn't spoil our stay and it may just have been the time of year - September). Take your prevention spray and probably some anti-histamine tablets with you! I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative for a relaxing and de-stressing stay.

Notes We are now offering rentals throughout the winter months. The weather in Turkey is generally good throughout the winter months and you can still enjoy picnics, trips to the beach and walking. The winter weather is also much more comfortable for sightseeing as it is not so hot. Evenings are cooler and you can sit cosily by a log fire with a glass of wine in the evenings. Very romantic!
