Ocean view! Walk to beach - 100 yards to ocean (you can hear the waves)! Beautiful, fully furnished, 6 BR house in (Eastward Look) with large deck facing the water (including gas grill and deck furniture). House sleeps 12 (4 queens, 2 doubles), includes 3 full baths and an outdoor shower. Kitchen equipped with pots, pans, plates and utensils. Washer/Dryer. Cable TV and DVD in living room, cable TV's in 2 additional Bedrooms. Wireless internet included. Celing fans in Living Room and 4 bedrooms (stand alone fans in each bedroom as well), large screen doors and cool ocean breeze keep the house cool in the evening. Large yard for games, just perfect place for a family vacation. Neighborhood includes tennis courts, basketball courts and a children's playground.

Scarborough State Beach is literally right across the street. Narragansett Town Beach just minutes down the road. Nice playground in the neighborhood with tennis courts and basketball. Located just a couple of miles to the Block Island Ferry, just 15 minutes to Newport. Also explore Jamestown, Wickford and lots of great restaurants (of course, a seafood lover's paradise). Mini golf, ice cream, go-carts, movie theater, supermarkets and shopping less than 5 minutes away. Summer activities include outdoor concerts, festivals and flea markets nearby.

great house for large family!

This house lived up to expectations. Superb location in a quiet residential neighborhood just steps from the beach made it very enjoyable. The location was very central to Newport, Block Island & Narragansett Harbor. The private beach was a plus ... and the public beach was only a short walk away. The house came full of amenities. You literally only have to bring your clothes & personal items. All of the sliding screen doors made for a great breeze and the wraparound deck was awesome for drinks and grilling!

For the rainy days/nights, it would have been nicer to have more updated televisions. But aside from this, the house left nothing to desire for. We may be back next year!

A Great Escape

We have rented this house for a week in July for the past eight years and we book the same week every year. We absolutely love it and look forward to our week. It is always a great time, day and night. The beach is a stone's throw away and the evening is beautiful, we live on the deck! The neighborhood is quiet and pedestrian/bike friendly. As a URI alum I always like to come back to "my roots" via this house each summer. Check out the Coast Guard House - a must! Great rental!!

Perfect Beach Rental

Perfect location, we could hear the ocean waves. So relaxing and soothing. Great deck and ample size bedrooms. We plan on booking every year, the neighborhood and area are beautiful, plenty of family things to do. Much better than fighting Cape traffic!!
