Drive up a maple lined driveway to this gem of a cottage with 2 king-size master bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a thoughtfully appointed living room/dining room with a fireplace, and a music room with a grand piano and pull out queen-size sofa bed. This home includes a washer/dryer and free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. It has a small but adequate kitchen and sweeping views of the Green mountains and Battenkill Valley.

The Innkeeper’s Cottage was built in the 1950s as the private home for the first innkeeper of the Wilburton Inn. It is in the heart of Manchester Village, yet truly a world away. Guests are welcome to enjoy the inn’s pool, tennis court, museum exhibits, restaurant, bar, and 28 acres of sculptures, flower gardens and trees, surrounded by breath-taking mountain views. Step outside your door and enjoy miles of scenic bike rides, walks, and runs on peaceful River Road.

The Innkeeper’s Cottage is less than 5 minutes away from the designer outlet shopping, Orvis fishing, canoeing, hiking, and world-class golf that makes Manchester a year round destination. The Dorset Summer Theatre Festival, Vermont Horse Show and Southern Vermont Art Center are nearby. Bromley and Stratton Mountain are only 10 and 18 miles away.

Guests are welcome to stroll over to the 1902 Wilburton Mansion where, for an additional fee, they can indulge in a hearty country breakfast, evening cocktails or gourmet dinner featuring artisanal whole-grain breads and dishes crafted with seasonal produce from the property's family-run organic farm.

The Wilburton Inn accommodates up to 148 guests in 8 buildings of different sizes and styles. This is a wonderful place to rent. We stayed for four weeks over the summer. Not only is the house spacious and comfortable, but the fact that it is on the grounds of the Wilburton Inn make it very special. The innkeepers were committed to making our stay as wonderful an experience as possible. They truly catered to our every need. The best part is that the house faces the mountain, so you feel as if you are secluded, but the village of Manchester is about a 2 minute drive and offers the outlet shops as well as specialty stores, weekly green markets, an assortment of restaurants, concerts, theater, etc. The pictures are quite accurate and show how well maintained the house is. My husband and I heartily recommend this property!
