Enjoy the comfort of our remodeled and custom decorated, one-bedroom, one-bath condominium. Imagine being 75 short steps from a mile long golden sand beach on the east shore of Kauai. From your private lanai with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean, you can watch the sunrise and whales passing by. Our condominium is a Non-Smoking corner unit on the 2nd floor that was completely remodeled in August 2007. Brand new custom-made cherry cabinets and granite counter tops have been installed in the kitchen and bathroom. All the appliances are new; porcelain tiles grace the entry, bathroom and kitchen areas. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower.

You will find our condominium at the Pono Kai, in the historic town of Kapaa, on a 12 acre beach front resort centrally located on the east shore of the 'Garden Isle'. We are only 15 minutes (8 miles) from Lihue Airport and shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. The north shore and south shore are approximately 35 minutes away from our resort.

Besides the new additions, the condo comes with all the amenities listed above. Added amenities include beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, tennis racquets and snorkel equipment for your use while staying at our condominium. The resort itself provides free parking and the front desk is open 24 hours a day. Each building has coin operated laundry facility and an elevator. For your convenience there is an activities desk so you can arrange for your island adventures. Each Thursday and Sunday morning a 'tour operator' presentation is hosted at the pool area (highly recommended) and you may win a two-for-one excursion. A workout room was added in Oct. of 2007. Come enjoy a stay in paradise!!!

This was our first trip to Hawaii. I was nervous about picking a place to stay by using the internet.This condo was every thing I had dremed of. We were very happy with everything made availble to us from the beach towles to the lawn chairs.The condo looked just like you saw it in the pictures.The owners were very easy to deal with.We liked the location.We could not have asked for a better 35th aniversary vacation.I would recommend this property to my friends and family. S& B

Our first experience using vrbo, and we hit the
jackpot staying at this "excellent" unit. The newly
re-modeled unit felt like home with beautiful
granite bathroom and kitchen, lots of decorator
touches, everything available to make and enjoy a
gourmet meal and we did and made our unit the
envy of our friends staying nearby. My husband is
picky, and was so pleased, that when we return to
Kauai, we will be back to stay here. We felt like we
were using our -best friends- place, which
included a lovely phone call from the owner to
insure we had everything we needed. All the extra
goodies - boogie boards, ice chests, beach chairs,
fins, etc. just made it all the more perfect. You
will not be disappointed staying at this beautiful
condo, great view and super location. Aloha

We stayed here in May and it was even better than we expected. The condo was great, we really loved it. The kitchen and bathroom are really nicely done, the shower is nice and big with heavy glass doors. Very nice view of the ocean from the living area and the lanai.

Kapaa is a wonderful little town. You can use the path in front of the condo to walk to town. It's very laid back, more so than the other islands. We can't wait to go back!

We would love to stay here again. Next May, I hope...
