La Petite Grange, Le Tilleul, Les Chênes and 3 Champagnac are lovely houses with a shared swimming pool and tennis court. Less than 10 minutes drive from Ribérac in the Dordogne, the houses and grounds are wonderfully peaceful and the terraces face south - enjoying stunning views over the valley below. Inside the houses are well equipped and comfortable. The houses have 3 or 4 bedrooms and 2 or 3 bath or shower rooms (see individual descriptions) and are well equipped with satellite TV, washing machine and dishwasher. All have sitting rooms with panoramic views and a wood-burning stove. Outside, their south-facing terraces are wonderful for BBQs and eating outside - and the large surrounding grounds have been beautifully landscaped to include the shared swimming pool (14mx9m) and an all-weather tennis court. Linen and towels are included in the price. We regret no pets and no smoking in the house or around the pool or tennis court. Le Tilleul and Les Chênes not suitable for under-5's.

La Petite Grange is a lovely architect-designed barn conversion on this small and peaceful development. Inside the house is delightfully light and airy and retains many original features including original stone walls and exposed beams. The house has 3 bedrooms (a king-size double with an en-suite bathroom and two twin-bedded rooms which share the other bathroom). The kitchen is well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher and microwave oven. The double-height sitting room is light and comfortable and has a wood-burning stove, satellite TV and DVD player. Outside, the south-facing terrace enjoys faboulous views and there’s a shady pergola - wonderful for eating outside. The extensive grounds include the shared swimming pool (14mx9m) and an all-weather tennis court. Linen and towels are included. We regret the house may not be suitable for very young children.

The houses are set in a small rural hamlet called Champagnac which sits astride a ridge with lovely views. The old village of Vanxains, with its boulangerie and post office nestles in the valley below and is only a short drive away - you can also cycle or walk to it. Riberac, a bustling town is five miles away. It has all kinds of shops, hypermarkets, great restaurants and other facilities such as canoeing and horse riding. The famous Friday market at Riberac is a must for visitors and is as much a social occasion as a shopping opportunity. Aubeterre, a very old and very beautiful village is only 15 minutes drive away - the nearest golf course is also located here. There are lots of other lovely places to explore. Brantome, Bergerac, Perigueux and St Emilion are all less than an hour's drive and are brilliant for sightseeing (and wine tasting!).

Thank you for letting us stay at La Petite Grange. The view was absolutely stunning and the four of us all said it was the most perfect gite we had ever stayed in - superbly well equipped and just so relaxing. We loved eating out on the terrace and cycling, playing tennis and visiting neighbouring towns. Thanks again for letting us share your home - there's a good chance we may want to return in the future.' Family J, Cambridge.
We find La Petite Grange such a tranquil place with a marvellous view that it is quite an effort to tear ourselves away and explore the area. Very well equipped inside with a splendid pool and tennis court beckoning, we can't wait to go back.
